RE: Myerscough
The notes that I have made for Mary Myerscough is as follows: buried 20 Aug 1843. 7 months of age. Kilshaw St.
There was a Maria Myerscough born & baptised on 7th Feb 1843 at St Ignatius (mother Nancy - no father), could it have been her? Mary Jane, parents Richard & Rose, was born 29 April 1843 & baptised at St Wifrids on 7th May.
Hope this helps.

RE: Myerscough
My wife is related through Elizabeth Myerscough b1842, who married John Evans at St Ignatius in 1872. The Evans family were clog & shoemakers & were connected to the Preston Hartley family, through John's mother, Elizabeth Hartley. The Hartleys were both Brewers & provisions dealers. We still have two pairs of clogs made by The Evans family.
Together with my connections to Lancashire Archives, this explains why I have putting the large amount of data on the Findagrave website, which I have amassed over the years.

RE: Myerscough
I meant to tell you Sheila, that the project that we volunteers were working on at the Archives, before the cutbacks, was to index a load of Preston building plans. As my wife has some links to the Preston Myerscoughs, the family were well involved in bricks and mortar.

RE: Myerscough
Thank you for your enquiry. I have just found my notes for St Ignatius burials, and I have definitely have Mary's burial as 20 August 1843. Next time that I visit Lancashire Archives I shall check again. However, as they have cut their opening times due to cutbacks, I am not able to visit as frequently as I used to.
Hope this helps, Bob.

Someone must have been photographing in Lakeview Cemetery and happened to take a picture of his headstone which answered a question for me as they told me his wife was not there and she was!
