|I am a retired Special Education Consultant and finally have the time to research my family lines. I will be researching: Dempsey, Long, Hughes, Bryant, Henley, Burgess,Staton,Gowing, Huddleston, Williams, Wilson, Coon/Kuhn) which have a long history in West Virginia, Virginia, Kentucky, tennessee and Maryland. Additonally I will be reseraching the Holt, Toth, Welsby, Hill, sherlock, McLean and McColl lines which will take me through Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland, Austria, Hungary, etc.|
What a wonderful way to relearn history and geography!
I hope to see you on my journies.

Hello, I am not related to the Telickey family. Sorry I can't offer you anymore information other than the photos. If you are interested in the memorials I have made, I could transfer them to your care. If not I will add on any future information you discover to their pages.

Trying to find where this young man, brother to Guy Bryant is buried. Wondering if you have any idea? or descendants of this family who might have old picturesl

Sorry, I haven't gotten back to you. I have had some problems with my email. If you can tell me how to transfer the memorials, I will transfer them to you

I was going through old edits to clean out my email files and I clicked on your Wm. Henry Holt page. Being a professional photographer, I adore old photos and you have posted a wonderful one of Mr. Holt. I thought he would look even better cleaned up out of that white surrounding mat, so I pulled it into photoshop and had a little fun with it. If you will send me your email address, I'll send him back to you in a full size 5x7 ready for printing, and would love to have you re-upload it to his page. :)
Where did you find such a great photo? I have nothing from my ancestors.

I'm sorry you seem to be having problems with transfers, but I've had the same problem in the past. It is easier if you "own" them but sometimes you have to work with other people. As I said they don't have to transfer the memorials, although Find A Grave has fixed it so that now when you transfer memorials, they can't be deleted, Maybe if you tell her that it might make a difference. She did say she would add things, make changes, etc. So I would at least go that way. I see you don't have any virtual cemeteries yet, you might want to think about it. It took me a while to do them, but once you do, you'll at least have all your family members in one place, and I've found it makes a big difference as I can't always remember where I found them (especially the older ones) so with the virtual cemetery, I can go there and go right to the page.

I'm not sure if I responded to this or not, but making a duplicate memorial is not a good idea and you certainly can't post a photo someone else added. I've run into quite a few duplicates, and FindAGrave will merge them, ownership going to the first one posted. Their rules also state that people don't have to transfer if they choose not to. I had someone make duplicates of many of my memorials, using my photos, so FindAGrave merged them. But if she had asked me I would certainly have transferred them because I didn't know them. Did you explain to the other people what your relationship was? Most people will add your info to the page if you ask them to.
Yes, if you would transfer his memorial, I would appreicate it and then I can connect all the family to him. Thank you so much for contacting me. There are others who will not transfer, so I have spoken to several professional genealogist and they have said in these emergency situations to make a 2nd memorial to get all the family grouped. I truly appreicate your assistance!
I would appreciate the copy of his obit. Thank you!

|StoneSearcher||RE: Find A Grave Correction: Edward Richard (Richmond) Welsby|
Sorry, but I no longer transfer memorial that I spent the time and energy creating. I have had too many memorials that I transferred, only to find them deleted later on.
I will be glad to add, subtract, link, correct, and/or etc. any information you see fit to supply for a memorial. Just use the "Suggest a correction or provide additional information" link in the Edit Tab of memorial.
I'm confused as to Edward Welsby middle name. Seems you have both Richard and Richmond as his middle name. Please clarify.
Also Jane Ann Frances [Hawkins] Welsby. Was Jane her Nickname?
|Penny Harris||Artie Dempsey|
Thanks for the info. Didn't realize I didn't have her & Frank linked. I found Frank's second wife in the same cemetery as his mother, but have been unable to locate where his father R.L., daughter Mary or his first wife Annie are buried. I found record for Annie at all other than their marriage record.
If you happen to find where they are buried, please let me know so I can link them.

I transferred mine to the cemetery so they're both there now, but you didn't mention the obit. I know some people don't like to use them, I feel they're important for family links. Since I went to the trouble to find it and add it, I'd hate to have it not used.

I only found 2 memorials for him. Usually the first one put on is the one that stays. I don't know him, so if you'd like to add his obit to your page, then I'll delete mine. If you don't have it, I can maybe copy and paste it to you. Let me know.
