Diploma donated to U. Tenn
I donated his Diploma from Nashville U divided and merged into Vanderbilt and UT.

I have not visited UT but think it is in the Library.

Some research shows him as a field surgeon in the 38th Tenn Infantry CSA.

His daughter married Henry Smith who begat my grandmother and she begat my Dad Henry Rainey.

My long decease Aunt Pat Smith showed me a box of his letters after the War that I think Bryan Smith in Athens Al may have possession. I have never made contact.

I have his old office sign ins.

I would like copies or retypes of the letters.

I have some Freeman daughter letters.

Rubin F. Smith
The certificate of death for the above man says he was Rubin Freeman Smith, husband of Myrtle V. Croley. It gives his dates of birth and death as b. June 14 1887 at Blanche, Lincoln Co., Tn. and died June 06 1936 in Athens. Buried at Blanche Cemetery, as you have stated. His Find A Grave number is 38044574 if you are interested in adding this info.
Thanks, Jan

Mary J (Brock) Malone
I noticed you added the memorial For Mary Jane (Brock) Malone mem## 38422852. I wonder if you might be able to answer a question. I have found a death record fro what I believe to be her husband Frances Marion Malone and it states that he is buried in Blanche Cemetery as well. I don't remember seeing that marker when I was there. Do you know anything about this family? Is he buried there? I have some conflicting reports on death date for him and I am trying to clear it up. This is my husbands family and we do not live in Tennessee so I can not check for my self right now.
Thanks for the work you have done with the memorials! It is a huge help!
