RE Patrick McCormack Memorial 28325147 I have just added his place of birth [obtained from census 1911].
|Fay Carmichael||Newtowncunningham Cemetery|
Do you know if earlier burials are also in this cemetery, which you have dated 1881? Or where I should look?
My gg grandfather and other relatives were pew holders at Newtowncunningham Presbyterian Church in 1867. I am looking for:
David King c1825 - c1875
Mary Jane Patterson King c1825 - c1859 (1st wife)
Jane Patterson King Patterson 1851 - 1884 (their daughter)
Joseph King b1849 (their son)
Margaret Reid King b1836 (2nd wife)
Eliza Margery King b1866 (their daughter)
The remaining four children are buried in Canada.
Any help greatly appreciated - and Happy New Year!

Again thank you Bob for your input. Glad to have the witnesses names at the wedding.
Francis Henry the son of William Miller did marry Maude Mary Miller and one of their children was William Meredith Miller. He had a son Peter William Miller and am hoping eventually to make contact with him (think he lives in Northern Ireland).

I have found the marriage on 01 January 1861 at Drumbeg Church of William Miller, Esq M.D. of Londonderry to Mary, youngest daughter of Robert Moat of Moat Park Dunmurry. Marriage conducted by Rev Jospeh Rawlins assisted by Rev. Francis Smyth.

Thank you Bob for your prompt reply. How stupid of me not to check your transcription /photograph for Sir Francis Miller again.
I am a little confused as I am sure that Maude Mary Meredith married Sir Francis Henry Miller. I had noticed in your transcription/photograph that you had Lady Maud Miller (nee Moat). Maude Mary Miller was the daughter of Frederick Thomas Meredith of England. I have applied for her will but it has not yet arrived.
I am trying to obtain her marrige certificate but had trouble as evidently I applied to the incorrect department in Ireland and have not yet had a chance to re examine where I purchase it.
I know of the children born of the marriage It was Eileen Mary McCorkell who was present at the death.
Thank you for your help - will look forward to hearing from you. Ongoing - Australia

|Deirdre McClure||Hugh Stevenson|
I noticed you had had a message from someone called Jack Wilson about a Hugh Stevenson. Presumably the cemetery he mentions is the City Cemetery in Derry.
My gt gt grandfather Hugh Stevenson is buried there (died in 1883) and has quite a large gravestone mentioning members of his family. Don't know if you have registered it or not.
I note there is a mention in another message to Jack of a Hugh Stevenson at Manorcunningham. That Hugh Stevenson was the son of the above Hugh Stevenson and was at one time minister of Second Ray Presbyterian Church there. He died in 1904 and is also mentioned on the above tombstone.
All. The best Deirdre McClure
