First and foremost. I am not and never will be a memorial hoarder. I will never have 94,000 memorials that are half way done. I will never complain and tell people to only send me 20 corrections a week. I will add all the information I have for the memorial and gladly transfer or update memorials with verifiable information. I have been on the end of hoarders including my mother and father's memorial and had to fight to have them transferred to me. Their obits were grabbed from the newspaper before we even buried them. I am not one of those people.|
To those newspaper obit trolls, just remember when the obit hits the newspaper the family is in the middle of funeral services and adding their loved one to FAG is far from their mind. Be considerate and when you are asked to transfer just do it, it is the right thing to do.
I started genealogy research in 1975 by asking my grandfather who was born in 1881 all about his family. My hopes are to track and find the locations of the graves of my ancestors.
I encourage everyone to be proactive and protect old cemeteries. Cities and towns are running out of land and cemeteries are being build over before families have a chance to fight back.
Consider having your old family cemetery designated as a historical site if your state has that designation and if not petition your state to create a program for historic family and community cemeteries.
I honour families and their rights to manage their loved ones memorials. I will transfer memorials which are not my family. Just E me.

I saw your notes on how she died. Where does the name cooper come into play? Is she the biological daughter of Belle O'Neil Glover?
|Connie Tidwell Frady||Susan Cassie Young Merritt|
Hello, I saw your comments on the memorial for Charles Merritt that your grandfather was the brother of Cassie. My g. grandmother was their sister Mary. I would very much love to speak with you. My mother, LaTrelle Russ Tidwell died 7 months ago and she and I have tried to locate Cassie's family for years. Cassie was the only one of the siblings that we knew of. My mother wrote a booklet which tells about the family and about Cassie's visit with her sister Mary after a loss of contact for more than 50 years. My cousin Dee and I have been doing genealogy for years and there was nothing but a dead end on Mary other than she did find out that her father was Chapman Young. I would really like to know about the family and share information. Thank you :)
Hello, Henry Thomas Russ is my maternal g. grandfather. I would like to have his memorial transferred to my care please. I appreciate the work you put into his and all of the memorials you have created and it would mean so much to me to be able to honor my g. grandfather by taking care of this for him. I would also like to have a few others transferred that are my family please but don't want to overwhelm you. I thank you for your consideration and for creating these for my loved ones.
May you be blessed,
Connie Tidwell Frady #46772931

Please disregard my earlier request to link this memorial. I was wrong.
|Eve Olsen||Ulysses Young|
Did you ever hear your grandfather talk about a Ulysses Young? I'm inclined to think that Chapman and Ulysses were related in some way, maybe brothers or cousins. Ulysses was actually in the same regiment out of Houston County GA as Chapman, but indexed wrong and is labeled as "W" Young, instead of "U" Young. I would love to know of anything you might have. Thanks

Would you please transfer this memorial to me. He is my father, and I don't appreciate death certificate added.

Thank you so much for the transfer. Greatly appreciated. Looking forward to updating and linking this young civil war soldier/casualty to his parents.

Would you please transfer this memorial to me? This civil war soldier was the son of an ancestors sister. His father died before he was born. His mother, Emaline, the sister, died in her 30's and never had another child.
