Raymond Roscoe Riggins
memorial #91846252
while researching a Raymond Riggins I found your memorial and your listing that Raymond's father wad Jonathan Abraham Riggins, so I added his spouse at the time.
I have since rec'vd a nasty email from someone stating that was in error. Raymond is not a child of Jonathan and Roxie.
Would you please delete my info.
I am sorry for the error.

RE: Mariah Sims Madara photo
Glad to be of service!

If you want to create memorials for the other stones I would be glad to upload the photos. You can fill in the details later if you wish.

Since they are your family I don't want to create the memorials, nor do I want to lose the pictures now that I have them.

It's your call - just let me know.

Cheers!

Mariah Sims Madara photo
Hi,

I am a photo volunteer. According to the Glenwood Plat Book, Mary C. Madara is buried in the lot of John Q. Walton. I provided a photo of the plot, as she has no individual headstone.

The Glenwood burial records can be acccessed at FamilySearch. https://familysearch.org/search/collection/2170640

Ms. Madara's information can be found in Book E, Page 282.

The other surnames buried in John Q Walton's plot are Osborn, Basim, Heltman, Wineberger and Langford.

I don't know if they all are related or not.

I took photos all of the following stones on the plot: Jno Q Walton(actually this is the whole plot marker); Herbert and Annie Osborn; Irene Basim; Richard S; Francis Gertrude Wineberger "Gertrude"; Albert Earl and Elizabeth Walton Hancock; Ella Bertha Langford.

If you would like to create memorials I would be happy to upload the photos for you.

Cheers!

I found her death certificate on FamilySearch.org under Ivory. She was living in Andalusia, Bristol and working as a housekeeper.

RE: Sarah Tomlin
Debbie My ancestor Sarah is the wife of Gorge Frederick Gray (Grau). Their daughter married George Parker. Your Sarah who married Enoch Tomlin would be their niece. By the way, the info I received years ago from a descendent in your line said your Sarah and her sister Catherine were twins. Carol

RE: Sarah Tomlin
Debbie - Thanks for your reply. I love the photo you posted of Sarah Gray Tomlin and her daughter and the stories re their husbands. Sarah Gray Tomlin was the daughter of George Frederick Gray and Martha Smith of Cumberland Co NJ. He, in turn, was the son of George Frederick Gray (Grau) and Sarah Pippert (Pippit). I am a descendent of their daughter Catherine who married George Parker and settled in Phila. The 2 researchers I mentioned are descendents of George Frederick and Sarah's son William Gray and his wife Christisna Shellhorn. many of that line also moved to Philadelphia Carol Sheaffer

Just curious to know if you are a descendent of Sarah and Enoch Tomlin ? I and 2 distant cousins I have located are working on the Gray Family from which she comes and we are eager to locate as many Gray researchers as possible.

FindAGrave request
I tried to get you a copy of Sarah Tomlin's death certificate. there is one for a Sarah Tomlin who was born abt 1799 and died 1869. You can find copies of Death Certificates on: www.labs.familysearch.org

On the opening page click on the first listed Search, then put in the name you are looking for, req Death and the date, and the city (Philadelphia, PA) and there are 4 that come up, the first one is Sarah Tomlin, the other 3 are variations of the surname.

Hope this helps.
