RE: Hendrick/Moss/Woodward
Hi, Diane, I went back into my FTM and looked at the Bible entries and clearly see they are listed as Woodward children. I agree, and probably used the census to list them as Hendricks children. There are so many of my Hendricks family that my head sometimes swims trying to get them all in the right places. (I know, poor excuse!☺) I really appreciate you bringing it to my attention so it could be corrected.
Thanks again, and good to hear from you. I grew up in Stanton Co, KS, just a mile from the CO/KS state line. In beautiful Arkansas River Valley now. Big difference from the flat land of western Kansas.
Regards, Helen (O'Brate) Cook

Thank you for bringing to my attention Abraham F's relation to Nancy Jan Moss Woodward's Children. I have made the correction. However, baby Marcellus was his natural child with Nancy, born in 1884/died 1885.

RE: Katherine Sybrandt Photo
Hi Diane,
Thank you so much - I would actually LOVE to have the picture of her. This is part of my Augustus family tree, and although not a close relative, the family of her parents Josiah & Eliza McCoy Augustus, have always intrigued me. Searched for years but never found out what became of Josiah & Eliza after 1870(think they died in Illinois, but not totally convinced of that). The kids all went "west", a couple of them wound up in Kansas, and three of the younger ones - Kate, Ellen and Josiah Jr., all went to Colorado. Josiah died unmarried in Colorado, Kate married John Sybrandt and remained in Colorado (they had no children), and Ellen moved out to California. Finding a picture of Kate was kind of unthinkable to me, as so few relatives/descendants!

Katherine Sybrandt Photo
Hi there!
Just came across your picture of Katherine Sybrandt buried 1924 in Longmont CO. Curious to know where you got the picture. Catherine Augustus Sybrandt was a relative of mine. She and her husband John had no children- do you have a picture of John?

Dear Diane, Thank you so much for your response. I feel exactly the same. It has been amazing to find photos not only of the graves but personal photos especially. I have made any that I post available to whomever wants them for the same reason. How incredible to have attended the church where they are buried! Having lived in AZ for so long, I forget how old the history is on the east coast. I imagine most people take that history for granted because it is around them every day. There is obviously a history here too but because it isn't my family's history, it doesn't have the same connection for me. And yes, we would be cousins something removed. I still haven't taken the time to figure that all out yet. I need to do some "googling" on that. Thanks again for sharing, I appreciate it. Tracy

Memorial #78005949 Leah Bruyn Mandeville
Dear Maggi, I recently found the photograph of the tombstone of Leah B Mandeville through that you posted on I'm a little confused because when I have searched findagrave's website, your memorial doesn't come up, I only found it from ancestry's website. Anyway, I believe Leah and her husband are my 7th great grandparents. I would like to know if I may copy your photograph of her tombstone and if you have posted any others from this family line and post them on my tree on ancestry? I will certainly give the credit for any photographs I post to you but I'd like to make sure you are willing to allow me to do this. Thank you for the research you have done. It was very exciting to get to see this photograph! Sincerely, Tracy Martinez p.s. my email is if you want to contact that way
