I'VE ENJOYED BEING ABLE TO ENTER AND LINK THE VARIOUS LINES OF MY FAMILY AND THAT OF MY HUSBAND. IT'S DEFINITELY SOMETHING OF VALUE TO LEAVE FOR THE FUTURE. MY THANKS GO TO THE MANY INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE TRAMPED THROUGH CEMETERIES NEAR AND FAR TO CREATE MEMORIALS AND CONTRIBUTE PHOTOGRAPHS, OFTEN FOR PEOPLE NOT RELATED IN ANY WAY.
THIS DATABASE IS A VALUABLE CONTIBUTION TO ONGOING HISTORY RESEARCH.

RE: Hazen
My connection to the Hazens is via Edwin's first wife, Mary Jane Lee, whose grandfather was my ancestor, Asaph Smith. I'm compiling a book on the descendants of Asaph's father, Benjamin Smith.

Mt. Hope burials
The website I used was GenWeb Monroe County, NY at mcnygenealogy.com. The page that was really helpful was this one: http://mcnygenealogy.com/cem/mh-intro.htm

RE: Catherine Levis
Hi, Sonja,

The four Levis graves are listed in mcnygenealogy.com as "George; Father; d May 9, 1896 æ 61y 4m 18d; Dorinda, wife of George; Mother; d July 30, 1894 æ 58y; George, son George & Dorinda; brother; Feb. 10, 1871-March 13, 1901; and Catherine; d Nov. 8, 1894 æ 90y 1m 16d." I would have posted photos for all four, but I had two problems. First, the stones were worn and hard to read just looking at them, in fact, the left most gravestone was illegible (must have been the younger George). Second, I could only get to the cemetery in the afternoon, and the sun was in the wrong direction, which made any closeups almost impossible. The only other decent picture was of the older George. Anyway, a couple yards away were Rebecca Levis' stone next to the Usher stone, and I posted pictures for them too. You can see the right edge of George's stone in the Usher picture.

I am hoping to find the rest of the ones requested for that cemetary, so if I didn't get them all... hopefully next visit I will.

RE: Elisha Sawyer
You are welcome, again. I am retired so this gives me something to do besides catching up on my "honey-do" list. I really enjoy doing it.

You're welcome. I also posted Henry & Essie Hazen in case you requested those for your friend as well.
Cheers from Washington State!

RE: Frank Hazen of Kendall,, NY
You are more than welcome. It was a little windy and it snowed lightly this morning but I wouldn't let that stop me. After all, it is supposed to be spring. If I can do any more for you in the future, don't be afraid to ask.
