I have been working on genealogy for about 18 years. My two best friends were into it and nearly drove me crazy, for that is all they could talk about. So, I decided it was either join them or find new friends. Guess which I did.
I do not know hardly anything about my biological dad and his family so I have worked on both sides of my mother's family. My grandmother, Frances Kernelia McDaniel married my grandfather, James "Jim" Albert Anderson. This is the two families I have worked on.
I have written one book on my McDaniel family, with index it is about 1000 pages. Now I am working on a book for the Anderson line. Having problems getting information from the Anderson's, so this book will probably be only 1/2 the size as "My McDaniel Family" book was.
With my granddaughters, we have been all over Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas getting information, pictures, copies of birth, marriage and death certificates. I have many original marriage license. We tramped many cemeteries getting information and taking pictures of headstones. We met so many wonderful family members.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the many hours I have spent on my Genealogy, and now working on the Find A Grave site. I have so many with all their information except the name of the cemetery they are buried in. I have tried to hunt down as many as I could.
