Edit for suggestions
Can you please remove your flowers with information from Ambrose Wethington memorial # 18313891 and send them to the memorial holder for adding? This can be done by hitting the "edit" above the photo. THANKS!!! :)

I noticed on find-a-grave you made a note on the memorial of Eliza F. (Combs) King stating she was the 2nd wife of John Wesley King...
John Wesley King & his 1st wife, Mary (Hale) King are my best friends gg grandparents. She & her father have been looking for many months trying to locate the burial site of Mary (Hale) King. We know that Mary King died in Casey
County, KY between 1880-1884 and is most likely buried @ Poplar Grove where her husband & his 2nd wife, Eliza are buried but have no way to know for sure. We've called several people that handle the burial records for Poplar Grove and were surprised to find out they really have no records for older burials. Would you by chance know anything about Mary King, her exact date of death or her burial location? Any info you could provide would be very helpful or if you know of
someone we could perhaps contact in Casey County that may have info that would be great as well.

Thanks in advance for your help,
Rhonda Brooks Daugherty

Hi Nancy,

This is your Aunt? She is my Paternal Grandmother, Ma. You and I would be cousins?

Hi Nancy, Sorry to be so long in answering. I think you mentioned on your FindAGrave site that you had written some books. I can't think of anywhere else I would have found out about your writings. What type of books are they?
As for the Gilpins, any info. you have, I would like to have. I have a large file on them and related lines. Please let me know,
When we move, it will be to Kernersville as that is the closest to my daughter's job in Madison that we would like to live. You must have a special place. In our younger days, we spent a lot of weekends and holidays with our jet boat at the Oroville Dam after-bay in CA. I have always loved the water. It is so soothing.

Hello Nancy, How I enjoyed your newsy letter. I'm assuming you are a relative of the Casey/Adair county Gilpins but you never said which one. My husband descended from Ambrose, s/o William and Ruthie. I to love tracing family roots. I have been doing this for at least 35+ years and have over 19,000 names in my data base.
Please let me know if we can share info.

Your retirement sounds wonderful. The water always has given me great pleasure and peace.

What type of books have you written?

I am now 71 and we are hoping to move to N.C. around Kernersville. We recently moved our daughter to High Point and her daughter, (our granddaughter) to Sweet Briar college in VA. We are just waiting for our house to sell.

My email is if you would rather contact me off site.
Hoping to hear from you soon,

Hello, My husband is related to the Gilpins buried in Adair and Casey Co., KY.
I read where you stated that George Leonard is not buried in the cemetery that is listed on Find A Grave. How do you know this? Also, I have his birth date as May 11, not Nov. 11. Do you know which is correct?
If you are related, I would very much like to exchange info. and perhaps find where some of the Gilpins are buried.
Thank you,
