RE: Cap Daniel Collins
I try to take them straight on whenever possible. I took about 1,500 pictures that day. Unfortunately not all of them are perfect. My back (the old thing is creaky at times), the location of the stone, and the lighting could have all been factors.

I am sorry it wasn't exactly what you wanted, but I shot the whole cemetery that day and check Find A Grave to see if I could fulfill some requests from what I got.

East Cemetery Requests
I have entered the requested stones. The original stones are long gone, but the cemetery association replaced them with a family listing of who is in each row. If you enter any of the others, please do not use my pictures. Sent me a SAC and I will enter the picture.

Thank you so much for the pictures of Viola's grave marker. I really do appreciate you doing this for me. Viola is my g-grandmother. Is there any way you might photograph the inscription on it?
Thanks,
Jerry Petrie

I guess we're probably distant cousins then. He's my 6th great grandfather.

Joseph T. Coates
Greetings! I went to Philadelphia National Cemetery in hopes of finding Joseph's grave. According to the records for Joseph he was a Private in the US Army in WWI. His date of birth is May 2, 1897. Date of death is June 2 1944. He is buried in Section M, Site 727.

Note the stone is fading. There is a renovation on-going at Philadelphia National Cemetery. All stones are being raised, aligned, and cleaned so that they will all be uniform. I will inquire of the cemetery superintendent if faded or broken stones will be replaced or made more legible.

Linkletter
Hi Kim...

Just working on getting the data you sent me for your Linkletters in Oakwood Cemetery, Nunda NY

I was just walking the cemetery....taking random shots when i came upon this line of graves for The Linkletters. I was thinking of that old show on TV and thought it would be neat if there was a connection. Art Linkletter's ancestors.....It's such an unusual name...

Glad you like the pictures.....

Sincerely,

Donna
