I don't need a new kind of game.
Genealogists have peculiar wishes
For Christmas I just want a surname
A new washing machine would be great,
But it's not the desire of my life.
I've just found an ancestor's birth date;
What I need now is the name of his wife.
My heart doesn't yearn for a ring
That would put a real diamond to shame.
What I want is a much cheaper thing;
Please give me Mary's last name.
To see my heart singing with joy,
Don't bring me a real leather suitcase,
Bring me a genealogist's toy;
A surname with dates and place.

This seems to be the grave of Samuel, s/o Henry & Edith (Squire) Adams. He is my paternal ancestor, b. c 1614, Barton St. David, Somerset, England, d. 24 Jan 1687, (vital record) Charlestown, Suffolk, MA, aged 72 years. He was the husband of Esther Sparhawk, & the widower of Rebecca Graves & Mary Eglesfield. See Mem. #42410225.

David, I put in a photo request a while back for a photo of Tom's headstone, recently we went to Florida on vacation and got to go to his cemetery so I took the pictures myself. David, one year on the way home from Freeze Reunion I took the scenic route through Washington, Iowa. I had seen your photo requests & I printed off a list for Elm Grove Cemetery & spent the day looking for headstones that had been requested. Hi David, As far as I know I am NOT related to the Cooley family. I take pictures of headstones with the same surname when I am looking for a certain one. I have learned inadvertently that I can help people find ones they didn't know were there. If you want any of these transferred to you just let me know.
