RE: Alma (Free) Casey
Oh, Barbara, I knew that her maiden name was Hamelton---I had FREE on the brain, especially since she's part of my husband's FREE family tree. I've changed it. Arlene and I have been in touch on family tree info for quite some time and are Facebook friends.

Interesting thing, though...Orvel Vern Casey's sister, Lillian, married Weldon Healer, a distant cousin on MY side of the family!!

I'll be transferring your mother's memorial to you. Blessings to you and yours.

Hello
Nicholas Bellm's memorial has the wrong photo of his marker. Herman was his son. Can this be corrected. I am not sure how to do this. Russ

Casey family
Hello!
Did George Washington Casey have a step grandson named Ardus Porter? Someone on findagrave.com was wondering. I can't figure out who Ardus Porter's parents would be in relation to George Washington Casey.

HAMELTON/HEALER
Oh, this just gets better and better!!! The Hameltons are related by marriage to my husbands family. The Caseys then have the connection to MY Healer family. I might should stop searching my hubby's side of the family now...we might be related!!!! Janie

HAMELTON
If I had consulted my database before asking the question, I would know the answer already---I see that Mary William Angeline Free Hamelton was your grandmother. I'd love to compare notes with you!

HAMELTON
Are you related to the Hameltons at Restlawn, Harlingen and Memorial Park, Victoria? If so, get in touch with me at ddjdsd@sbcglobal.net. My husband's mother's maiden name was FREE...same as Mary William Angeline Free Hamelton. Janie

RE: George Washington Casey
Margaret Ann Corn was probably Margaret Ann Mae Corn. Peoplewent by so many nicknames,it gets confusing!

RE: George Washington Casey
George Washington Casey was a Church of Christ preacher from Manchester. I believe I also saw his occupation as "preacher" in one of the census. Unfortunately, I have no source to tell you where I got this information from, other than from Lawrence and Sue Dale's book, "Cemetery Records, Red River County" dated 2000. It says under his name: "From an earlier reading of this cemetery in RR Co.TX Library: he was a Church of Christ preacher in Manchester". There is a Corn Cemetery between Manchester, TX and Paris, TX (Lamar County). Corn cemetery is only about 20 miles away from Manchester. Since "Corn" is an unusual surname, I wonder if Margaret Ann Corn's parents/grandparents/siblings are buried here?
Happy hunting!
