Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm Sarah Ann Fenson the youngest of six children born to Robert Junior Fenson & Nancy Jane Grimes in Kansas City, Missouri.
I'm researching surnames of:
Fensom,Fenson, Grimes, Huff, McCarty, McLaughlin,Sloan,Smith,Denniston,Reed, and Sandefur.

My top researching surname FANKE. August Fanke born in Chicago was reared by Robert Jesse Fensom August went by the name William F.Fensom

If you are related, or searching any of these surnames, and would like to share information. please contact me at:

I want to apologies up front to anyone wanting photos at Mt. Washington Cemetery in Missouri, but they will not give anyone locations unless you are a relative, or there is a fee. If you could contact the Cemetery, get the location and post, then volunteers could get the photos. Mt. Washington is a very big Cemetery without a location it would be impossible to locate.

I am trying to reconcile two Find A Grave memorials with what looks to the be same person.

your memorial #27881555 and memorial # 91299237seem to be talking about the same person, but different cemeteries.

I'm afraid I did not find the notice in the Oklahoma paper, it would have been sent to me by someone else, and I don't have that information. I'm also not sure where these graves are located. It was just one of many that I photographed at Mount St. Mary's.

If you are interested in maintaining these memorials just let me know, and I would be happy to transfer the management of them to you. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Best of luck,

You'll have to add it to the memorial since you manage it. You can just copy and paste what I sent. I'm glad I could help!!

Thanks for sharing. Again, I always like hearing about 'their story'. Good luck with your research.

RE: Maggie Fensom
No need to be sorry for 'going on'. I enjoy hearing about it. I was wrong about Mildred being her mother..her niece. There are no other Fenson/Fensom listed. As for Ruben Glaze, there was Glaze families here in Carroll County. There's even a Glaze cemetery that is located on the top of a hill in a cow pasture. Sadly, most of the stones have been destroyed over the years. A friend and myself went there together to document it. Her husband is related to the Glaze family interred there.

RE: Maggie Fensom
Forgive me if I repeat myself, as I've been working with others about Oak Hill, but I have a cemetery book that was collected and documented in the late '90s of every visible stone at the time. The only Fensom/Fenson listed is Maggie. I always try to look around the area for related stones when I take a photo request, and seemingly there was no room for another interment, next to Maggie to indicate that her mother was buried next to her. I'll take another look next time I'm that way. The Glaze family must have thought a lot of Maggie to bury her next to Ruben. I love hearing life events of those who have gone before us. It gives meaning to what my sister always use to call it.."Wandering and Wondering." Have a great weekend, Loretta

You're welcome Sarah. It's interesting to note that Ruben T. Glaze's stone is in such proximity to Maggie's. Is there any connection? I also posted a photo of the two stones together. Maggie's resting place is in a serene location of this old and well kept cemetery. "Each Day Counts", Loretta
