No death certificate
Got a response from the Okla. Vital Records' office. No known death certificate of John H. Coffee. Apparently submitting death info to a county or state registrar wasn't widespread in 1913 in the new state of Oklahoma. By 1917, I'm told it was common. BTW, a photo of your Grandmother's tombstone was taken and submitted. Would love for you to add to it with photos, hint hint.

Your Grandmother's grave
BTW, just today a kind soul took a photo of your Grandfather's headstone in Kansas City and uploaded to F.A.G. He also snapped a pic of Mary Ruth Coffee's, too.

John Hanna Coffee # 68075256
I finally found a death date for John Willis Coffee's dad after searching through microfilmed newspapers (i loathe microfilm!) on two separate visits to "Oinky City"'s wonderful history museum. (I had an obit--just no date of publication). Now I can order a death certificate. Will keep you updated. Hope this address is still good for you. Once I get the death cert. in, I will contact you via your dad, if need be. Or direct message me via twitter? LOL, Sandy in Tulsa
