I am 65 years old with a love for family research|
that started about 10 years ago. I come from a family of 12 children and was #7 in line of birth plus the first girl born to my mother. There are only 9 of us living now, spread out in several states from one coast to the other. Find A Grave has been a true help to me in my research and anyone who downloads names, dates, photos, etc. are to be thanked for their kindness. I feel such sadness when I visit a cemetery and find soldiers flat stones all but grown over with sod. Now I carry a small shovel to remove what covers the stone. Have I mentioned I get long winded?

You are extremely welcome. I am not related but I like finding things that can be added to existing Find A Grave memorials. You did all the hard work and I thank you for that.

Me too - it makes the memorial pages so much more human. J
Sounds good! Sorry I didn't look at it closer, it would have saved on the suggestion to start with.

I have Charles A. Pickett, Walnut Grove Cemetery, Daviess County, Indiana - mother listed at memorial # 96792150 - Mildred Gaither Pickett - if you would like to make a link.

PLEASE tell me how you did it!! The before and after photos on this stone are AMAZING!! I have some ancestors that the stones look similar to this... How did you clean the buildup in order to get to the names/dates? You will be my HERO!! :)

I'm doing some research for DAR trying to tie in my great grandmother(Ellenor Gray married to Conrad Coleman) as her daughter. I was wondering if you had any documents concerning your Find A Grave information? I have Wilsons History, etc. but no information on their children. Thanks, deborah
