I am asking if you can correct my grandmother’s maiden name’s spelling. It should be spelled Siewert and not with a v. If you want additional information on their children, I can provide it. I am Robert Underly’s son and there were 6 children in the Eby and Clara Underly family. The family was raised in Galien. All have now passed with my father the last in July 2015 at age 94 ˝. Just let me know. I also have and can get more information on the Siewert part of the family.

I will be very interested to see if any new Gebhards are in your graveyard pics!
RE: Gertrude who did the listing, there are 3, one died young in 1903 so obviously not that one, then Gertrude M. 1892-1981, and Gertrude J. Moorlag Gebhard 1873-1922. Which one? Or am I missing one? The photo listing has # 40, Eliz. Gebhard as "Gerties mother", was she the product of a previous marriage and not the dau. of Jacob #41?
Looking in Dowagiac photo book, there is a Gert. on p. 116, a 1910 basketball team shot, would this be Gert of 1892? She would be 17/18 years old, so that seems to fit. She DOES have a Gebhard nose!
Page 115 shows a Clara Gebhard in a 1908 pic. There is a Clara G. in Calvary, did she not marry?
Numbers 10 & 11 could be the ones in the Dowagiac book.
Kandace G., the one I am in touch with, said there are photos on display at the college that show some G's. She is checking it out.
I am in contact with a Gebhard 3rd cousin from Dowagiac..well, his wife who is more interested, anyway. Erick Gebhard, grandson of Joseph, 1905, son of Charles, 1869, son of John, 1822. He is getting more excited as I send info to her. She was thrilled to get the photo you sent me of the Gebhard, Biek, Meyers reunion. She me asked who did the listing of the people there referencing the numbered photo, I was sure you mentioned that but cannot find the info. Could you please send me that again? Also...there is a Lizzie Gebhard in the Calvary (Catholic) cemetery in Dowagiac...d. in the 1870's- tombstone has fallen down and hard to read- any idea who her parents were? There is a pic on findagrave. Please respond via my personal e/m= firstname.lastname@example.org.

I saw your notes on Kent's page. I too am related to the Gebhard's in Dowagiac. My 3rd Great Aunt immigrated there in 1882. I know that her name was Magdalene Gephard (Lena) and she was married to Michael J. Gephard. I already found their grave on this site and through Kent's post found out some info about her death.
Her maiden name was Bauer.
If there is anything you can tell me about the Dowagiac Gebhard's I would really appreciate it!

Wow...what a great photo! Wasn't expecting it to be so large, either. Thanks so much for mailing it to me. Seems like all the Gebhards I know in the pic are in Calvary (Catholic) Cemetery. Were the other families in the photo originally from Schifferstadt, Bavaria also?
Thank you for the transfer of my gt gt aunt anf uncle! Kent

Thanks for the info on the Meyerses. Regarding Jacob H. Gebhard in Calvary cem., his parents were Herman and Mary Sattel Gebhard and I do not know where they are interred. I found the photo of the family reunion of which you told me, but the image is not so good and I did not find the list identifying the people; if you would please e/m it to me I would appreciate it. email@example.com

Please remove the headstone photo from Jacob Gebhard # 64080767, you have it correctly posted on Jacob H. Gebhard, same cemetery. Thanks, Kent G.
Thanks for posting Jacob and Mary Gebhard's gravestone photo. Kent Gebhard
