Hello all my findagrave friends! I hope you're having a wonderful day.
I try to research my findagrave memorials and add maiden names to the married females. Extra information is gathered from death certificates and census records when time permits.
My genealogy research is on my SHEW, CALL, COMER & DAVIS families of NC and my husband's LANDERS, ROPER & HUME families.
Please use the EDIT button on the memorial page when you suggest family links or updates! Requests for transfers outside of findagrave guidelines will be disregarded (ignored).
Please be aware that all photos are copyrighted. If you wish to use one of my photos you must send me a request and you must credit my work.
I know there's some controversy over chalking. I go by the Association of Gravestone Studies recommendation that no chalk should be used. Check out their page of Do's and Don'ts here:

Thank you for the heads up. I have contacted that tree owner. I had already posted that photo to my ancestry.com tree, so all she had to do was copy my photo to her tree anyways.

Hi Lynn
No I am not related. Clyde's son, Jake, was my husbands Godfather. Did you know Jake? Clyde was a tennet tobacco farmer. The only thing I can figure is that they either went there for a pic nic (which was very common) or they went to the church there.

The photo that you posted on James Clyde Hick's page is that Hubert Ledoux Comer with him? That photo was taken at the NC Granite Quarry in front of the old spring. Did they used to work there?
