|I have been doing genealogical research for the past six years, avidly looking into my family history so I may pass that history on to my own grandchildren. The cemetery records of Lowndes County, MS were invaluable to me and started my quest to find my relatives buried in Washington Park Cemetery here in St. Louis. Currently, I am working to catalogue Section 6--where my grandmother and aunt are buried. Then I plan to work on Section 10, where my grandfather is buried. My family members rest in unmarked graves, so I am hoping that someone will know the lot and grave numbers of one or several persons I add to the site so I can better pinpoint the location of my family so I can add markers to their graves. One final note: for those of you not familiar with the area, the names Washington Park Cemetery (St. Louis City) and Washington Park Cemetery (Berkeley) both refer to the same resting place. I decided to add the names to the Berkeley listing simply because the actual location of the cemetery is in the county.|

You may want to note on the writeup on FULTON E. CULKIN (D. 1979) that he was a career funeral director in the African-American community in St. Louis, working (lastly) with Ellis Funeral Home, Inc.
Thanks, and you can delete this after you make
your decision on adding this info.
