Bio and Links
Bio Photo In the early 1980's, I curiously began searching for my ancestors. It has gone from curiosity to a passion all consuming. There is always something new to discover!! I owe it all to my BFF, Geneva!!
For those of you who sit in front of a cemetery book or a newspaper obituary column copying deaths into a cemetery, I truly feel sorry for you. For those of you who complain about those of us who have "Unknown Burials". I believe the name of this program is "Find A Grave". The hopes of family researchers is that some one some where will FIND our lost ancestor and may even find a tombstone of that loved one. As for me, I am so proud that this site has come about where I can share my family with others and hopefully find long lost family that I would never have found otherwise. Thank you, FindAGrave.
If you come across someone I have entered in a cemetery that is your ancestor and you have pictures or a bio you would like to add, OR you would like a transfer, don't hesitate to contact me through the EDIT button. I will transfer if they are not related to me.
Please be advised that links and other data on memorials [other than those for my immediate family members] more often than not come from other Find A Grave members and/or guests and/or from Ancestry. It has come to my attention that edits/links are added within a matter of days, without my acceptance or denial. Please double check & verify all information before taking what you read as gospel.
LINKING NOTE: Too many errors have come up with people submitting "Edits". I will no longer change any memorial without a verifiable source being provided.
PLEASE-NO death certificates on memorials I have created or manage!! Personal information should be kept personal.
VOLUNTEER PHOTOGRAPHERS: I appreciate your enthusiasm in taking tombstone pictures in cemeteries, BUT I do not appreciate additional tombstone photos on memorials when there is already a clear tombstone picture for that memorial.
FAMILY PHOTOS: I invite you to enjoy the family pictures posted, but ask that they not be copied and placed on any other website without my written permission.

I have just noticed the photo of the cemetery is upside down. It doesn't give me the option to delete or correct. As soon as I learn how to correct this is I will. Sorry

RE: Alabama Tombstones
All the headstones except one was very readable. But the cows have broken every headstone. This was a very interesting site because you could read all the headstones. it was just one grave wide. The trees have grown all in and around the fence. If I can locate the owner, I will check on getting some work done on it.

Great question! I used the information provided by the Kentucky Infantry Photographic Collection. I'm happy to remove it, if you like. Thanks for catching that! Sherry

RE: John O'Neal # 62068771
Thank you, Kay....although after your original message, I realized what a horrible photo I have for his headstone. Since I took the photo, the cemetery has done quite a bit of repair, so maybe his stone is more "upright" now.

Thank you and have a great one!

John O'Neal # 62068771
Hi, Kay,
I have been slowly working on the cemetery John is buried in and I'm not related to anyone there. His info and Martha's info was forwarded to me from another Find A Grave member and I'm not positive how acurate they are. I'll have to research Martha a little more since her headstone states O'Neal and she should've been a strickland at the time of her death.

Take care,

Woods / Knutson
Kay, I transferred Margaret, her husband and children to you. I am not a Knutson, but my great aunt was. When she passed away, all of her memorials were transferred to me. I am happy to transfer them to kin.

RE: Transfer
You're very welcome. I'm always happy when a family member finds a loved one in the memorials I have created. Chris

Kenny Bolts #18302011
Dear Kay,
I back tracked some of my research email and came across one from another member by the name of Rickey Boult (#47877047) [living in Norforks, Va.] who had also asked for a grave photo on Kenny Bolts. He informed me the full name was Kenny Wayne Earl Bolts and dates on headstone is correct.
Kenny Bolts had recently divorced his second wife {His father and mother were divorced by this time and the father deceased and buried in Dallas, Texas. No known location for his mother} so Kenny’s divorced wife, who may have given the incorrect information or the information was transcribed incorrectly on the Texas death index… the actual death certificate cannot be released for a 25 year waiting period after a person’s death according to Texas state law, so there is no way to verify at this time who gave the info at the time of his death.

According to the cemetery records that is the right grave site for the only Kenny Bolts buried in Lometa Cemetery. The creator of the metal headstone who did it for free apparently made several mistakes (year of birth and middle name), but I guess since no one would put up the money to buy a real headstone that one was left to mark the grave by family. I was told by the grounds keeper at the time, we (my mom and I) were searching the cemetery for findagrave requests, that his death was real hardship for the family. If it is not the one Connie wanted ( I sent emails, no response) please feel free to delete it.
