Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have always been interested in genealogy ever since I can remember. Going to cemeteries is a great past time of mine. I have a very large family and will sometimes request a transfer. If I do, it is very much because I am related. There is so much history told quietly in a cemetery, the older the better.
I am mostly interested in the Crapse/Jarrell/Mock/McAlhaney with the Shuman, Tuten, Smith, Long, and assorted other names thrown in. . If I have added them, I am related to them with just a few exceptions. I do not "hoard" or grab for memorials.
Another great interest of mine are Civil War burials.
If you find an error, please let me know.

I'm looking for a burial for her. She was married to James Haold Avant.

Just thought I'd run it by you-

Since you are obviously a family member could you answer a question. According to Julia Florence
Hamilton's death cert. her mother is Susan Arabella Nix. Is that an error? So many occur is these records. Thank-you

Find A Grave James Crapse JR. #52740239
Hi Tracy, I am Jimmy's aunt Dorothy. His mother, Virginia, is my sister. I just created memorials for James Campbell Crapse Sr. #141282112 and Virginia Beckworth Crapse #141281312. Was glad to see James Jr. memorial site you created. He has two daughters, one in Idaho, the other in Maryland, and I think it will mean a lot to them to be able to see their Dad's memorial and also his parents and other members of his family, since they live so far away. I live out of state too and don't get to Savannah very often so creating sites for my parents and my deceased brothers and sisters is a way to feel a little more connected. I have also created sites for my husbands parents & grandparents who all came to this country from Italy abt. 1900. Find A Grave has helped me so much in my genealogy research on both sides of the family. Just found the grave of my mom's mom in Laurel Grove cemetery and her date of birth and death, info I had not had. So this is a great resource. I also have a big interest in the Civil War history. My grandfather's brother served in a Georgia unit, was wounded & a prisoner of war, another Beckworth cousin was killed on the 2nd day of fighting at Gettysbury. Take care.

thank you for the finding.
I deleted my memorial for Wm R Horton, Beaver Dam cemetery.
It came from the listings for Beaver Jasper county cemeteries.

Fredrick Kenneth Nix
Hello are you related to Fredrick Kenneth Nix by any chance? He lives in North Carolina. He was in the Military many years ago and he use to live in Louisiana. He also owned Nix's Upholstery business in Louisiana. Just wondering if you knew him or any of his relatives. I am hitting a dead end every where I turn. Anything will help. God Bless.

Annie Lou Ginn Thmes
Hi, Tracy, I think we met at the Thames Reunion.
Thank you so much for all you do. My brother Jay and I visited the Thames cemetary after the reunion. Could you tell me what the entire inscription is on Annie Lou Ginn Thames headstone? She was my grandfather's first wife and the mother of my mother's half sister, Aunt Willie Mae Bagmal "Aunt Sheesh"
Thank you so very much.

Joseph & Drucilla Trowell
Hi Tracy,
On Joseph Trowell's memorial you have him as being buried on the Johnston Plantation in Hampton County. Could this also be the Captain Jonas Johnston Cemetery I've read about? Do you have any knowledge of where this plantation was? I've been to the spot at Tuckasee King/Trowell's Landing in Effingham County, GA where Joseph's father had a plantation (and where Joseph was supposedly born). I'm familiar with the Estill/Luray area of Hampton County and on my next trek would like to try to pinpoint the Johnston's place.
