I am not directly related, but would like some help if you can. My grandmother married Ernest E Borck back in 1972, both their second marriage. Ernest was first married to Lydia Ann King, who's mother was Mittie Shekell, and Mittie's father was John Shekell Jr. Lydia left many photos, and would like some help if you can, recognizing some of the people. I have a few tin type photos and also a photo of a civil war soldier and I think his wife. I do know that John Shekell Jr.(age41) and his son Alonzo C. (age 17) had both entered the war at the same year, (1864), and since Alonzo was only 17 at the time I am thinking it is more likely to be John Shekell Jr. with his wife Lydia A. Would love any help. My e-mail is email@example.com, please contact me to send photos, thank you.

I happened upon this site today while fooling around on the internet. Found Ireland geneology a few days ago and asked my dad about it. It turns out my grandma (Edna Ireland-Firman) is your grandma's (Esther) sister. My dad is Jack Firman he remembers your dad Ken. Was surprised when I told him I found a little history on the net. Would love to hear from you.
