|Epictetus||Hale and Price Families of Walker Co, GA|
A while back you had left an inquiry at Ancestry under the title "Hale and Price Families of Walker Co., GA" where you made mention of A.J. Price and Nancy May Woods. I have copies of several letters from about 1870-2 written by my gr grandfather, Rev. Thomas Wm Powell, where he makes mention a time or two of both A.J. & Nancy May. He refers to A.J. as "Josh" and Nancy May as "Battie". The references were primarily visits to their home. Rev. Powell was a circuit preacher mostly in Walker Co., GA but also at New Hope North Bapt. Church in Chattooga Co., GA, about 3 mi. south of the Walker & Chattooga Co. line.
Rev. Powell's fiance' [later wife] was Albina T. Whitlow, dau. of Miles Whitlow of Walker Co., GA. His second wife was Elizabeth Woods. Perhaps the Woods connection is how Rev. Powell knew Josh & Battie. The letters were personal correspondence between Rev. Powell and Allie Whitlow.

Good evening! I made the correction to her memorial. Would you like me to transfer her to you? If so, I would be happy to do this. Thanks!

Janice, I had the wrong A.J.Price. My line goes from Joseph & Nicey to Benjamin Price to Alfred J. Price to Mose W. Price to Eliza Price to Alford Westbrook.
I guess this is what happens when you try to do four families at one time. Do you happen to know the father of Joseph Price? I can't find anything past him.
I would appreciate any help. I am willing to help you if I can but I don't have a lot that would be in your line. Get back with me if you can think of anything I can do.
There sure are a lot of Prices!

I am still working on these two gentlemen and their connection, but so far have found nothing, but am diligently searching. Phil
