Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am originally from Royal Oak, Oakland County, Michigan. My husband's kin are from Shiawassee, Clinton, Hillsdale, and Genesee Counties in Michigan, and in Vermont. Other lines go back to Ontario, Dutchess County, New York, and Kent, England.

My father's kin go back to Wigtownshire, Scotland, and before that, County Londonderry, Ireland; also Limerick, Donegal, and Kerry in Ireland, and Newcastle, England, many of them coming into Ontario before Michigan.

My mother is from Clydebank, Scotland, and her lines go back to Donegal, Linlithgow, Falkirk, and the Isle of Islay in Scotland.

I am very involved in Family History and enjoy photographing Memorials and contributing to Find a Grave. I have researched many of the people that I have uploaded, putting up as much information that I find and feel appropriate.

Many of these folks are family or connected to me or my husband's family. But if I post a memorial of your kin that you would rather not see on a public site, or if you are closer kin and would like to maintain the site yourself, please contact me for a transfer or to make any corrections or additions. If you have a better photo than one that I show, I am glad to take mine down for yours. I am very happy to accomodate in any way.

Photo Request for Carl Esch
Hi there,
I just posted the photo for Carl Esch at Eagle Point National Cemetery. However I was taken aback when I saw that all the GRASS is gone!! (Apparently they wanted only new grass?)

I asked the landscaping crew when there might be grass again for a better photo, and they said the beginning of May. Honestly, there was nothing wrong with the "old grass"!

I am happy to get you another photo, one that should look a lot nicer, then if you like.

Kind regards,
Kathryn

I suppose it's okay if you keep the pic up. I know my grandmother wouldn't have wanted it to be put up but maybe my cousins would be alright with it. It's their mum and not mine after all so it ist really my place to say I guess.

Hi Barbara. If possible would you be able to take the picture of this grave down. Carrie was my auntie and our family (Laird side) isn't really the type to post things like this on the internet. Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you so much for all the work you have! I noticed most of the dates in the above are quite recent, but the family I am researching is not there. John Gillespie and his wife, Mary (McClintoc), lived there in the mid-eighteenth century.

Would there be an older, yet close, cemetery of the same church in the area?

I did see some allied families and will be going back to check further.

Beautiful photography!!

Best wishes,
Kathy

AFW Marshall
Hello

My great uncle was Andrew Fairlie Wilson Marshall from Glasgow, who died in the Great War in September 1918. 33 years. Could this grave be any relation to him? Do you have a family connection. I know some of the history of this Marshall branch back to 1844.
regards
Gerry Marshall
