Bio and Links
I have been researching our family history since 1978. I have 4 children, 2 daughters that are married and 2 sons that are now in their 20's. We also have taken in a little (now three year old) boy. I have 4 granchildren. I live in eastern Washington. This site has helped me connect with long lost relatives of mine and my husbands.
Just a few of the names I am searching: STEINBOCK, ANDREWS, SHIREY, BLAZER, GOODIN, MARTIN, POWELL, VOGELMAN, BISHOP.

I am sorry to all that have been trying to contact me this last year. We took in a 2 year old little boy so our lives have changed a little.
I will try to get back into things now.

RE: Martin Shirey
We are 4th cousins 1X removed. I am very interested in the history of the Shirey family, especially Martin's sons. Thanks for the information.

RE: Martin Shirey
Hello. Martin Shirey is my 4X great-grandfather. I am descended through David H. Shirey and Arrona Shirey Ward. Thanks for the message. I would love to know what happened to Martin Shirey's son Henry Shirey. It seems that he died in the Civil War. I think there were five brothers who were in the Civil War: Reuben, Abram, Martin, Henry and Ephraim. I've found Reuben and Abram. It appears the Martin and Ephraim died in the war, but I cannot find anything on Henry.

Sandy, in the flower section of the page for #46202986 you gave information on an earlier wife and children that you believe Thomas had. Would you contact me about it so that I can learn some information to check sources and etc. for it. Thanks!

Only has a flat footstone marker. His footstone looks like it belongs with this Kirkland headstone. Not sure that it does. It is the black stone with the grey border. His stone is very hard to read due to mold and wear on the stone.

Harvey Shirey
I completed your photo request for Harvey Shirey. He is next to Virginia White Shirey. There was no memorial for Virginia, so I created one and transferred it to you.

I see you say you were related to him. I am not a relative, but on the off chance that you do not know, and care to know, he was a very great football player for Auburn. He and Ed Shirling were both punishing backs, thus having their names often confused.
