Thank you for your kind response. Yes I am extremley interested in learning about the McClendon's and Perhaps the Young's. My grandmother married near 1930 to a man named James T. Kirk. I believe the T stood for Townesend. They moved away from Oakdale and my father was born in Turlock, Ca. He is 76 years old now. My grandmother;s house still stands here in Red Bluff, California where most of us grew up. I may not have inherited much but I still possess the handmade clay pots that Iona made from a local clay deposit that she found when first married. I will tell you anything I can remember that might be helpful, ~ Leah

Glad that I could help. Just started doing this and am really enjoying helping other people. As for the markers, they were taken when they were wet so they not as worn as they may look.

William Sidney Vosburg from Danville(10/28/1890) -(4/26/1970)and Mary Elizabeth Fulcher Vosburg (5/5/1895) - (3/14/1972) were Sidney Keathley Vosburg's parents. According to Sidney Keathley's wife Monnie, that I met on facebook, William Sidney's mother, Jemimah Keathley died when he was a few days old and he was raised by his Aunt. She also said he had a half brother named Erby and that her husband (Sidney)'s grandfather was Nicolas E. Vosburg. I don't know if this is helpful or not. I think I might be more confused than ever. Happy Birthday next Saturday, the 19th! (I hope that's right) Sherry Vosburg Fallon

I don't know if their is a head stone for the above person, but I will try and go over to West Point, Ga. and see if I can locate one for you, and if their is I will take a picture and post it on all Cumbee's memorial pages.
