Bio and Links
Bio Photo The profile photo is of my great-grandparents. It's their wedding photo taken in 1897. I've had the photograph blown up to an 11 x 17. The frame I used belonged to my grandmother (Ella and Othie's daughter) and it hangs on the wall in my office. It's always within sight reminding me how important it is to remember our ancestors.

I have been doing genealogy for more than 36 years. I've been involved in the planning of previous Indianapolis Family History Conferences, and I'm a member of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). I'm also working on a book about the Bennett Family. Copies will be donated to the local libraries and historical societies once it's finished.

I am very thankful to those who have worked so hard to create memorials for my family members, whether direct-line or not. Because my ancestors are important to me I will continue to ask for transfers when requesting corrections. I do consider it an honor to be able to maintain their memorials. As I've done research, my departed family becomes very real. . .that's why I ask.

Transferring Management My personal philosophy on transferring memorials: I'm not one who hides behind Find-A-Grave guidelines of having to be a direct relative. Those are guidelines, not hard and fast rules. I understand contributors have put a lot of hard work in creating memorials and maybe they don't want to "share" their work with others. That's their choice. Although the majority of the memorials I've added are my family, I have added a few non-family members. I won't hold their memorial hostage. No need to give me your entire genealogical history to make the transfer.

On Memorials I manage I have been working on making family connections, adding photographs, biographies and other important information about the individual so that their full story can be told. That's one of the advantages of managing your family's memorials because a stranger cannot tell a family member's story quite like someone who knew them in real life. One of the major advantages of managing your family's memorials is that you can put the photographs in the proper order to better tell their story. Otherwise, you have to send an email and make the request. I've found most will not make those changes.
I welcome all corrections, suggestions and additions.

Names I am researching Adams, Allgood, Anderson, Beach, Beck, Bennett, Britton, Brown, Bryant, Bush, Davidson, Dawson, Depue, Good(e), Ham, Hamm, Harvell, Hundley, Ingle, Isom, Johnson, Keim, Lanam, Rosabom, Rouse, Shafer, Stone, Taylor, Tull, Weatherford, Wilcox.

I have transferred all of the Bodenhamer memorials that I created over to you. Like you, I agree that it's not all about the numbers. I have been photographing Clear Creek Cemetery for a few years now and adding any photographs and memorials that are not already in Find A Grave. I am always glad when my efforts can benefit a family member such as yourself. I wish you a good day.

Done, no problem. I will, but haven't added a note in my profile that anyone can use any photo with permission.

Have yourself a great year.

RE:Tapp family - Glen
Thanks, Brenda, I don't have a photo of him. I do think that he generally went by Glen and that means it's not surprising he would be listed that way in family created documents like obituaries. And it's also not surprising that he got married under that name.
My connection to his family is that his mother, Naomi Langley, was sister to my great-grandmother Laura Langley Barrow. I'm sure that makes us cousins of some kind. Always fun to meet new cousins.

Orville J. Adkins
Brenda, do you happen to know who Orville J. Adkins was? After a long search for a second cousin I found her buried in Tucson, AZ? That is Mildred (Conder) Adkins. I noticed your memorial for Orville John Adkins in Rose Hill Cemetery and wonder if that is him or his father.

Bennett Book
Brenda, you mentioned that you wrote a book about the Bennett family. Is there a way I can get a copy. I am a descendant of the George Arthur Bennett side of the family and would be very interested in reading it. Thanks!
