Bio Photo Friends, you are invited to visit the memorial page for our son
Nathan Peurifoy He died unexpectedly in October 2014 at age 26 from a diabetic coma. In six months I lost my mother and my son.
Thank you all for your prayers, friendship and care. It is appreciated.

For over a year I have tried to fix a lost hotmail account. It has been blocked and it seems no avenue of correcting the problem has worked. Unfortunately, not only have I lost correction, I've lost all my emails addresses of those who have been helping. Please change my address in your account. If you can remember corrections, please help in doing so. Thank you so much. This has been very frustrating.

The life of a person is more than the dash between two dates. It is my hope that the memorials which I create or manage can make the individuals life fuller, even if just linking to family members or adding a few tidbits of information. Researching and including other family information makes them more than graves, they are people. Suggestions are welcome but please submit them using the edit button at the upper right corner of each memorial.
Even when transcribing cemeteries I work hard to link other family members.
I live in the northwestern mountains of North Carolina and have work primarily in cemeteries there. My current focus is Carolina Memorial Park in Concord, North Carolina. There are 30,000 graves but only about 17,500+ listed. I've done more than 4,000 of those. Much of my family is buried there. I am also focusing on Salisbury National Cemetery Annex.

My family can be traced back 46 generations to County Leichester, England. The family is English/Norman. They came to England with William after the Battle of Hastings in 1066. The photo above is my ancestor, Sir Nicholas Purefoy, buried in The Church of St. Michael and all Angels in Fenny Drayton, Co. Leicestershire, England. The spelling of my name is the most rare of the three family groups: Purefoy, Purifoy and Peurifoy. The early Purefoys were in Jamestown, VA long before the Hugonaut movement.
On my paternal side I am interested in the Peurifoy, Purifoy, Purefoy, Scott and Suther families.
For my maternal side are Statons, Stiller's,and Moores (from Stanly Co, NC).
My wife is from the Byrd and Carr families of Duplin County, NC.
You are invited to visit the memorials of my grandmother Lillian Scott Peurifoy, my mother
Hazel Staton Peurifoy
and Father Robert Eugene Peurifoy.

Photos of graves are free to use. However, personal photos of individuals are copyrighted by this writer and can only be used on other sites by written request via email (not "public messages on my personal page) and acknowledgement of original owner of the photograph.

Thanks to all who help with my typo, mistakes and incorrect links. I could not accomplish this without your help.

Proud member of the Patriot Guard Riders.

Hi Robert,
Hope you will have a great day
Get you some hot water and pour in a little Amonia and soak your ankle. It will take some of the swelling out. Once you dry it off rub some Mentholatum on it that will help also. Old stuff works
Get better

RE: Mary
Mr. Peurifoy, thank you for adding the Bowden information. And I did go back and delete all the death certificates because I feel like it's inappropriate also. I never did find Mary Polly Etchison Bowden's grave. She was the wife of Caleb Bowden. Caleb Bowden is my ex-husband's great grandfather of 1st cousin and they have become a part of my family tree.

Your last name sounds so familiar to me. Some of my people born in Davie County. Seamon, Fink, Turner, Felker. I was born and raised in Kannapolis. So I am very familiar with families in Davie, Iredell and Rowan counties. I live in FL but would love to come back home and tour all the cemeteries around home.

Once again thank you and glad you are feeling better. Take care.

RE: Juliar Bowden Allen
Thank you Robert. I'm sorry I've confused you, I am myself. I need to check into this further. I could be totally wrong. I'm hoping you are feeling better.

My Caleb Bowden was born May 11, 1815, Davie Co., died Apr 26, 1886, Davie County. Burial Bethlehem UMCC, Advance, Davie. His wife was Mary "Polly" Etchison. Info taken from death certificates of their children. Their children were Nancy, Columbus, Juliar, and Lydia. Maybe Caleb was married twice. Don't waste your time on this. I will search for more info. Thank you.

RE: Legion Cemetery
I went out there in 2014 and made all the pictures of the whole cemetery. I have not had time until recently to post them to Find a grave. I was wondering how you got all the information on all the folks buried there. Was it a book you got the information from?
