The life of a person is more than the dash between two dates. It is my hope that the memorials which I create or manage can make the individuals life fuller, even if just linking to family members or adding a few tidbits of information. Researching and including other family information makes them more than graves, they are people. Suggestions are welcome but please submit them using the edit button at the upper right corner of each memorial.
Even when transcribing cemeteries I work hard to link other family members.
I live in the northwestern mountains of North Carolina and have work primarily in cemeteries there. My current focus is Carolina Memorial Park in Concord, North Carolina. There are 28,000 graves but only about 9,000 listed. I've done more than 4,000 of those. Much of my family is buried there.

My family can be traced back 46 generations to County Leichester, England. The family is English/Norman. They came to England with William after the Battle of Hastings in 1066. The photo above is my ancestor, Sir Nicholas Purefoy, buried in The Church of St. Michael and all Angels in Fenny Drayton, Co. Leicestershire, England. The spelling of my name is the most rare of the three family groups: Purefoy, Purifoy and Peurifoy. The early Purefoys were in Jamestown, VA long before the Hugonaut movement.
On my paternal side I am interested in the Peurifoy, Purifoy, Purefoy, Scott and Suther families.
For my maternal side are Statons, Stiller's,and Moores (from Stanley Co, NC).
My wife is from the Byrd and Carr families of Duplin County, NC.

Trying to get them all linked together there on Find A Grave and get some biographical info written up for as many of them as I can. Robert - thanks for 'Adolphus'. You're not going to believe this, but there were actually 2 Adolphus Hamilton's but different parents and different birth/death dates. I got snuckered into the first one who appears to have died in 1950 and is buried in NC. The really big difference was my first notice of parents. Slowly, things began to come together.
When I got the information on 'my Dolph', that's when I realized the tangible difference in the two. Different wives; different children; different birth/death dates, etc. The coincidences of having two people with exactly the same name was mind-boggling.
I know he's buried in/near Denver; just a matter of time in finding him. just found his mother after years of searching - and it appears that there is a family plot in Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, CO. There are at least [approx.] 7 plots that appear to be designated for them. I've got info going out hither-and-yon to find him as well.

I'm terribly sorry, but the picture you have posted to this site actually belongs to another Adolphus 'Dolph' Hamilton, who was the son of Stephen Alexander Hamilton and Sarah Gallimore.
This 'Dolph' Hamilton was b. in Montgomery Co., NC died in Aug 1879 and died in Denver, CO on 5 March 1913, according to his obituary, as follows:
"From The Dispatch, Davidson county, North Carolina – 26 March 1913
"The many friends here of Mr. Dolph Hamilton are sad to learn of his death which occurred in Denver, Col., the 5, inst [this is referencing 5 March 1913]. Dolph has spent several weeks here during the summer and made many friends. He was in the prime of life and leaves a young wife and little son, a devoted mother, one brother, Dr. J. E. Hamilton, of Denver, and one sister, Miss Ola, of Seattle, Washington, who are almost heart-broken that their loved one has passed away. Mr. Hamilton was a nephew of Capt. J. M, Prim, also other relatives here who are grieved to know that he is no more. The bereaved ones have the deepest sympathy of their friends here."
Dolph married Emma McMichael 1880 – ? They had a small son, Alexander Hamilton 1908–1913
