Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am interested in any information on the Giffords of Ocean or Monmouth Counties of New Jersey. If there is anyone that can find information on John J. Gifford born in 1824. I only have a census with him and his son George A. Gifford born in 1868. Any information would be greatly appreciated. My Wife is looking for information in Eastern Tennessee and Western North Carolina. Surnames of interest for her are Oliver, Henry , Burns, Teffeteller. I am also looking for information on relatives in Loudoun County, Virginia.

Dill Cemetery
FYI - Dill Cemetery is located in Polk County, TN and not Bradley County - you have duplicated memorials that have already been posted in the correct location.

John and Jane Dunn Myers
Thank you so much for adding the pictures for my 4th great grandparents, John and Jane Dunn Myers. I really appreciate you taking the time to do this.
I was born and raised in the East Tennessee area and my 5th Great Grandfather was one of the founding fathers of that area. I descend from the Wears, Myers, Waters, Walkers, Paines, Culbertsons, Kilgores, and others.
Thank you again!

William Ball (1615 1680)

Hello Michael and Kristi,

During my long-term research for the compilation of a book on Ball, Washington and Lewis families, I came across your Find A Grave entry for William Ball (1615 - 1680).

Research documentation on William Ball is abundant, one such example:
Anderson, Sarah Travers Lewis (Scott), "Lewises, Meriwethers and Their Kin" (Genealogical Publishing Co. Inc., (1938) Richmond, VA), p 481.
This research, as do so many others, documents that:
Colonel William Ball was not William "III". The Roman numeral suffix was sometimes used to distinguish him from other Williams during research.
The Colonel was born in Lancaster County, England.
In checking the records of St. Mary's White Chapel, the earliest grave that is marked is dated 1698, some 18 years after the death of William, leaving his burial location unconfirmed. Though he resided in the parish of St. Mary's White Chapel at the time of his death, the location of his interment is unknown.
Exact day of death is unknown. There is a recorded will for the Colonel dated 05 October 1680, probated November 1680, in Lancaster County, Virginia. Consequently, date of death would have fallen somewhere between those two dates.

Thought this might be of interest.

Thanks for the photo of James Clark's grave. I have yet to get down there to view it for myself. I live about two hours away. I am trying to connect all the dots for James Clark's family tree. How are you connected? Steve Clark, Jamestown, TN
