|Larry Gardner||RE: Hanson V Love|
I got the Love line back to Leonard Love but I do not have much proof. Leonard Love was born in 1776 and married Elizabeth Viers in 1766. Elizabeth born in 1741. Both Leonard and Elizabeth were born in Frederick Co., MD. They had 6 children that I know of, one of which was Hanson Viers Love Sr. born Feb. 27, 1777. Hanson Sr. died in 1863 in either Iowa or Lewis KY. He married Hester Polly Carson. They had 4 or 5 children including your James L and my ancestor Hanson Viers Jr. Yes, they were probably brothers.
There were several families who left Indiana and pioneered in Cloud Co., Kansas, two were the Bland family and Quakenbush family. Another Love family went there, but I can't think of which ones off the top of my head. Hanson Jr. and James L. had a niece, Parmelia Love who married William Winters, and they settled in Cloud Co., KS and stayed there.
There are more stories with these families who moved to Kansas and what happened to them.
