I am living in Iowa and have numerous pictures of gravestones in over 10 cemeteries in and around Boone, IA. Unfortunately it is time-consuming to get these all on this website so I'm working at it.

Joseph Jordan
Regarding your inquiry as to why Joseph Jordan was disinterred. Joseph Jordan was previously interred at the Sunset Memorial Gardens. However, all the known graves were moved to the Custer County Cemetery back in the late 90's. Reason for this was that the cemetery was neglected and overgrown, so the county elected to move all the interments to the Custer County Cemetery. The Sunset Memorial Gardens was a place where the deceased were put in vaults (or drawers). I can't for the life of me think of the name for that.

Anyway, Joseph Jordan was moved on 10-19-1996 to the Custer County Cemetery and is located in Section R, Lot 903. Hope this answers your questions.

RE: Peter Jordan
You're welcome. Another member is photographing Calvary and has claimed your request so you should be seeing a photo of his marker in a few days.
