I was born and raised in Newhall, California and started doing genealogy research with my Aunt Nelle in the 1980's. I also love antiques and usually take a camping trip in the summer to do research work and search for treasures. Both are never ending projects and lots of fun. Am happy to take photos of headstones in the Eternal Valley Cemetery in Newhall and Santa Paula Cemetery in Santa Paula. Please email me with any corrections to the information that I post on memorials. Most of the memorials I post are not my direct family, and I will happily transfer memorials that are unrelated to me to ANY family member that requests it. I do not "own" these memorials, and love to see them connected to the families they belong with. Find A Grave is a wonderful site, and I am so grateful that it exists so we can share information with each other!

Thank you so very much for the info.on the Messick cemetery. Laura Jean Messick is my grandmother. Richard Crockett and Sarah Earp were her parents. She married James Isaah Wallace 11 Oct. 1899 in Bonham Fannin Co. Tx. They had 7 children: Charles Marion, Leslie Moore, Ruth Magrette Wade, Frank Messick, Catherine Estell Gibson, Eva Beatrice Lankford, and Georgia May Wallace. She passedaway as an infant. Laura Jean passed away 17 Oct. 1953 in Golden Wood Co. Tx. She is buried in Dunbar Cemetery Emory Rains Co. Tx. I have a great aunt. Mary Ethel [Stroup] Ward. She married Steve Ward 5 Nov. 1928. Hi Janet, My name is Bea. I am the granddaughter of Ralph Horace Ward. Researching our family. Fancinating finding relatives all across the States. I believe John H Ward is the brother of my Grandfather's Father, Morris A Ward. Did John die in CA and buried in Farmington Mo?
