I was born and raised in Newhall, California and started doing genealogy research with my Aunt Nelle in the 1980's. I also love antiques and usually take a camping trip in the summer to do research work and search for treasures. Both are never ending projects and lots of fun. Am happy to take photos of headstones in the Eternal Valley Cemetery in Newhall and Santa Paula Cemetery in Santa Paula. Please email me with any corrections to the information that I post on memorials. Most of the memorials I post are not my direct family, and I will happily transfer memorials that are unrelated to me to ANY family member that requests it. I do not "own" these memorials, and love to see them connected to the families they belong with. Find A Grave is a wonderful site, and I am so grateful that it exists so we can share information with each other!|

Thanks for the transfer Janet. I will get her linked up with her Tabor family today.

Thank you for the 2 accounts and thank you so much for doing what you do. My sister and I also volunteer in the Colma, CA area.

Hi again Janet! I was wondering if you could put my name as the contributor of the response answer on Woodfords page? I forgot to do that before I transferred him to you. Thanks!!

Please transfer this account to me so I can make corrections. I am a friend of a family, and requesting this transfer for the granddaughter of Petra Jacinto and the niece of Sisto. I am a member of Find-A-Grave and have an account.
I would also like to ask for Petra Jacinto as well.
I am interested in how you came across so much information regarding family members.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
You're welcome Janet! It was fun! You know though, sometimes the right dates don't get put on a stone. They can be as wrong as anything else.

I got to thinking about what you said, about finding him age 1 on the 1850 census. I would tend to believe that is a true age for him. Usually when they are little like that, the right age gets put down. Don't you think?

That is really interesting Janet. Certainly a mystery for sure. Maybe he just went along with that age and never told anyone after that? It is possible. Will be transferring them to you. :-)

Thank you, Janet, for creating these memorials, also for the photos and transfers! Gale

Janet-I hope the stone is correct but his birth certificate could be right. I know some of the older stones do not have the correct dates on them so please feel free to use which ever date you feel is correct. I always let the memorial keeper know if I see any dates that are different.
Have you posted a copy of his birth certificate to the memorial? That would let future generations know the differences in the dates. Thank you for always taking care of the memorials you have posted. It is a pleasure to work together to keep new information posted or corrections made. Pat
