Hi! Please feel free to use ANY photos or memorials I have uploaded for your own purposes. I claim no "copyright" to anything.

Unlike some of the churlish and petulant old biddies around here, I am happy to be a CONTRIBUTOR and hope you find my information helpful. The essense of a contribution being, expecting nothing in return. And Find a Grave does call us CONTRIBUTORS!

I mean, really, it's not like I risked my life, or incurred much expense, or think you will use my data to profit from headstones photos, or even that I had a horribly bad time CONTRIBUTING to Find a Grave, is it? No! It has been a pleasure.

For those CONTRIBUTORS who have suffered in the process of CONTRIBUTING, to thine be the glory, you deserve all the attribution and recognition you can get, and I am sure it will be legion. It's just not my thing!

I hope my efforts will be helpful to EVERY one! And of course, additions or corrections are always welcome. Cheers from OKC!

RE: Joseph Abel Wilson
Joseph Abel Wilson is the husband of my great grand aunt. Would you like to manage his memorial?

So the Florence Mays I took earlier this year wasn't the Florence you were looking for?

There was a stone for him! You will note that a place was reserved for Florence but no death date was placed there so I am willing to wager she was buried elsewhere.

Louisa Deppe
I found a picture of Louisa Deppe on a website, but I do NOT have permission to post it. You may however go to this site and get the picture for your personal use.
The site is: www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ilmage/menard/cemetery This SHOULD get you to a list of all the cemeteries in Menard Co., IL and you can scroll and click to find what/who you want.
If you can't get it to work, let me know & I'll try to help...
Good luck, Mary

Hello,

I have fulfilled the photo request. He is buried with his first wife, Theresa. If you make her a page, feel free to add the photos to it. I do not need credit. I did take a few other photos. I will email them to you and you can do what you'd like with them.

Take Care,
Denise

William Mattingly
RE: Mattingly family
Ken, I may have an error in my files and I have not been able to verify what I do have. I have Richard married first to a Christina Daughman who he supposedly married on 21 Apr 1808.

I have Sarah married to Richard Brown with five children: Martha A., William, Ellen, Sarah and James. I haven't traced these children as yet.

Looking at what a few other folks report, it looks like Richard married Eliza Smith on 9-3-1812 in Nelson County but I haven't been able to verify this either. He married Rebecca Cox on 19 Feb 1834 in Mason.
