I show Ida (Mitchell) Fritz to be the wife of Marvin L. Fritz, son of Thomas and Anna Fritz of Akron, Mi. You show the husband as oscar...please advise if you know which is correct as Marvin and Tolbert were my great uncles.

I have been trying to find more information on Richard J. Whalen, who attended Gladwin High School in the 1940s. He joined the army and his picture was in Life magazine in 1944.
WWII: Richard J. Whalen, Born: 1924, Enlistment: 17 Feb 1943,
DICK WHALEN, son of Mr and Mrs Francis Whalen, former Gladwin residents, is pictured prominently in the October 2nd issue of Life magazine. Dick was among a group of U. S. soldiers shown enjoying themselves in the Montmartre district of Paris. His parents now live in Shepherd. Gladwin County Record 11/1/1944
Any help would be appreciated.

Gladwin County Historical Society

Somewhere I heard or read that Martin and Ethel were the ones who paid for the monument stone at St. Patrick's and I'm wondering if he buried his daughter with his parents, maybe, planning to use that as the family plot. Just a guess.

Hi Tom! Hope all is well. I hate to correct you, but, Mary V. Whalen is buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Bay City. You have her listed in Brookside in Tuscola Co.

I do pictures for FindAGrave and you have requested one or more pictures in a Bay County cemetery. Unfortunately the cemetery where the tombstone is located is not indexed in a public forum. If you could contact the cemetery and get your loved one's location—section and row or plot—I will attempt to fulfill your request. You can locate an address, email or phone number by googling the cemetery's name or by checking the Bay GenWeb site at http://www.mifamilyhistory.org/bay/cemeteries.htm
As you can appreciate I'm not able to walk the whole cemetery for you.

Hi Tom, thanks for the update. This family tree gets bigger and bigger doesn't it? Would you mind adding Fredrick Leroy Samson's parents to his memorial page so they can be linked? His mother was Nancy Philinda Jones #106443726 and his father was Mason S. Samson # 106443844. I created memorials for them this weekend after locating more information on them. Nancy was the sibling to my GG-Grandfather. Until next time, Helen

Hi Tom, I see that you created a memorial for Frederick L. Samson who is buried in Demorest Cemetery alongside his wife, Margaret. Are you a descendant of this family? His mother Nancy was a sibling of my GG-Grandfather. Helen

Thanks so much for the transfer of Marcus Aldrich to me to maintain, it is very much appreciated. Incidentally, my GG-Grandparents are noted buried in that same cemetery, a very lovely piece of property with all the tall trees and such. (noted as James D. & Alottie Hillaker) My mom and I have visited it twice over the past few years and we are just now discovering other relatives such as this Aldrich nephew are also there. Have a great day, Helen Pickens Murphy, Nashville, Tennessee
