Elias B. Shirk
Elias B. Shirk born May 23, 1843 in Lancaster County, Ohio, died March 23, 1868 in Michigan.
He was the son of Samuel Shirk born Feb. 10, 1802
Lancaster County, Pennsylvania died Oct. 10, 1861 Stark County, Ohio and Susanna Leah Baker
born Aug. 12, 1804 Lancaster County, Pennsylvania
died Nov. 26, 1853 Stark County, Ohio

According to the records I received Elias B. Shirk was rafting logs on the Grand River when he fell into the river and drowned.

Josef or Tozer?
Sorry, but I don't have any photos. If you enter Photo Requests someone who lives near there will likely try to get some for you...

Marker Transcriptions
Susan,

Thank you for taking many photos of markers for the memorials that I have created. I see that you sent to me numerous transcription edits and I want to explain why I have declined them.

In my opinion, the marker transcription data field is there for any information that will help to enhance the memorial that is stated on the marker. This does not include the name and dates, especially when the name & dates are complete within the memorial. With complete dates on a memorial and a picture posted, it would be redundant to add that to the transcription.

While I do not believe there is a F.A.G. guideline for this, this is how I maintain my memorials.

Sincerely,

Angela

RE: Obituary Usage
From Find A Grave guidelines: If you do not have permission to copy an obituary to a memorial, you may put a note stating the name of the newspaper and the date the obituary was published.

I have given credit to Cook Cares for their obits which they send to me in my email. This was not taken from a newspaper.

Children of Lauren and Anna Gillet
I just wanted to let you know I changed the spelling and linked the family members I can but you need to contact the people who have added each child to Find a grave as the system only allows us to attach parents and spouses and not their children.
