I am the keeper of the flame,
when others hesitate too...
I will say your name.

I am the teller of the tales,
words spoken calmly,
while inside I wail.

My tears are a stream in which memories swim
While I have a breath, your light will not dim.

For some, it's hard to speak of you.
For me, it's hard not to!

I am the KEEPER of the FLAME...
I will NEVER hesitate to say
Your NAME.

This sums up my feelings about everyone I'm working hard in adding to Find-a -grave.

I am easy to work with if your NICE.
Sending me overbearing, condescending comments
Will get you nowhere.

Kind Regards, Chanavee

RE: Memorial # 115779804
I think someone made a typo somewhere. I went to the site you suggested and found three listings for Lewis Grady McKinley, one being Mrs. Lewis Grady McKinley. I couldn't pull up the actual Death Certificate listed for Lewis Grady McKinley, but I did notice on both Lewis Grady McKinley and Mrs. Lewis Grady McKinley, the birth and death dates are identical. Lewis Grady McKinley is buried at Memory Hill Cemetery in Milledgeville, Baldwin County, Georgia # 17317947.
I think I am going to go to Milledgeville one day soon and try to get a copy of the exact death certificate to check this out completely. It would be highly unlikely that both Lewis Grady and Mrs. Lewis Grady would have been born and died on the exact same day.
I would ask you to remove Mrs. Lewis Grady McKinley but cannot until this is totally clarified.
Will let you know what I find out.
Thanks,
Lyn Smallwood Smith

RE: Memorial # 115779804
Thank you. My cousin and I are working on it. I will keep searching through the Milledgeville and Baldwin County cemeteries to see if maybe City Cemetery may have been combined with another.
You are correct with the mysteries of Genealogy. I also think it possible it could have been a typo on the Certificate, I've seen errors on Certificates, too.
Thank you for all you do in assisting the rest of us genealogist. I do believe we gather better information when we all work together.
Thank you again.

I'm confused with this memorial for Mrs. Lewis Grady McKinley, died 1938. There is no given name to follow up on and you have entered that she was married and her parents were William Alpheus McKinley and Julia Henrietta Herndon. William Alpheus McKinley was my great uncle, being half brother to my grandfather. William and Julia had a son named Lewis Grady, who was married to Clyde 'Jimmie' Smith in 1908. Lewis Grady McKinley died in 1938 and Clyde McKinley in 1960.
This entry is really a mystery. I looked up City Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia, as I figured I'd take a drive one day (I'm not far) to check this out a bit more but that cemetery doesn't come up on any search.
I've also sent a message to a cousin for a little enlightenment.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am wondering about the information you have on my father-in-law Stanley George Janik. As far as I know, he was not cremated. Here is the memorial I created for him in 2008:Find A Grave Memorial# 26962961. Please be in touch. Thank-you. Pat Janik

RE: Pray Cemetery
Sorry, I got the name wrong. Her name is Annie Inez Gable Daniell, and you entered her record in the Pray family cemetery. She's actually buried at Prays Mill Baptist Church, record created by someone who is now inactive. You want to add information, and on her record at the Pray Cemetery you stated that the property owner doesn't want anyone to visit and wants the record deleted, which you refuse to do.

Pray Cemetery
This cemetery can be visited, but the owner of the property travels in his work -- so it is best to be accompanied by a member of the county cemetery commission. Get back to me to arrange that as I am chairman of the commission.

As to Mrs. Gable's memorial, you should get in touch with the folks at Find A Grave and ask them to either transfer the right memorial at Prays Mill Baptist Church to you for maintenance or to add the information you have for her.

Thank you for adding Marcel's info. His story survives (so many are only listings of their deaths). Barbara
