I am a full fledged genealogy junkie!! I have researched every line of my family and that of my husband over the past 20+ years. Some of my family names include but are no way limited to... ABBEY, BARRETT, DUNKIN, WELCH, STANLEY, REDMAN, SHARP, LEERIGHT, CHEARS, COOPER, BATTLE. My husbands lines includes but not limited to PRESCOTT, O'CONNOR, ALLEN, POOL, SANDEL, NAUL, ASKEW, JOHNSTON, WEAVER. I even have my ex-husbands family that I have researched.. see yold ya I was a genealogy junkie! lol
In addition to my own persoanl research,I also do transcription for the WorldMemoryProject.org and also do grave transcription for RecordAGrave.com and hold the record for the more graves transcribed in one day! (over 1200)
I have found many of my ancestors listed on FindAGrave and find it to be an invaluable tool!
I am the mother of 5 of the best children on the face of the earth... ok, I am a little partial! I am also the grandma to the most adorable grandson that has ever been born! ok, again... a little biased! LOL
While your here and if you have a few minutes, please visit my mother's memorial. My mother,Sheila, was an AMAZING woman and my best friend. I miss her more with each passing year. I love you mommy ;o)
Also...if you have the time, please visit my memorial FOR CHEYENNE. Cheyenne Rose was the sweet twin daughter of a very good friend of mine who died just 2 weeks after her 1st birthday due to a terrible freak accident in the home. Cheyenne's mommy has started a non profit org. to help bring to light these hidden dangers to help prevent other deaths such as Cheyenne's.
Thank you all for leaving flowers for my mother as well as for Cheyenne and those in my Domestic Violence Victims memorial. It makes me so happy to know that you care.

 | Youngs in Carmi, Illinois His relatives would be McGowan, Young, Driggers, Slocumbs from Carmi (White and Whiteside Counties. Have you located and indian heritage within the Young side of the family? And thank you for getting back to me so quickly. | | | M. Barnett
 | Youngs in Carmi, Illinois Hello Michelle,
I have been researching my husbands family and they are from Carmi, Illinois. His ggg grandfather was Joseph Young who was married to Margaret Driggers, Hodkin, Young, Slocumb. I have been tirelessly searching for anyone who may have been related to the Youngs or the Driggers in an attempt to locate which side of the family their indian heritage comes from. I know this is a long shot but since you have done so much research can you possibly tell me if you might have been related to Joseph Young who would have died in August 1856. I am not sure of how he died (War or other) He and Margaret had a daughter named Josephine who was born in 1856. If you could help in any way that would be greatly appreciaited.

 | Fred McMillan Hi michelle. This is Saul Garza, I'm a reporter with the Fox station in Dallas. I saw your post about the cemetery and the conditions. Would there be any way to figure out where Fred McMillan is buried? I spoke with a family who found his marker in their backyard while cleaning up the yard. From my understanding from the locals in Centerville, this is likely a private and small cemetery. I have a couple of names/numbers of relatives that I plan to contact later. You can reach me at saul.garza@foxtv.com Thanks. | | | Paula Metzler
 | RE: Fred McMillian OK I wish I knew how to reach some of the family members because of the fact possibly might have gotten him an new stone through the Veteran Administration... I have been made aware of an local station in area has begun to show interest... That would be awesome....
My feeling are mixed about an replacement stone... But when a stone has this much damage I do not know if a stone could be restored.
I have been mildly involved in restorations... as my cousin has much more knowledge in this area... I have only gone as an helper... She has taken DNR classes and actually has learned the proper way to do this process... As I will not pretend to know how to do this... So many will go out feeling they are helping but in long run are damaging stones by using harmful chemicals on stones...
Anyway back to topic if a family member were to contact you .... Please let me know, ok. Also I am glad you made a memorial for him...
Thanks | | | Paula Metzler
