|Nancy Cornelius||Kelly / Kelley family at Mt. Olive|
Trying to help someone find a Thomas B. Kelley. Not for sure which way the last name is spelt. He is the son of Daniel and Octavi Kelly. Octavi is in find a grave twice. Once as a Kelley(like on her stone) and the other Kelly. You put Octavi into find a grave. I have seen on an AL Death Index where Thomas is supose to be there also but can not find a stone. Thought you might know. Thanks for your time and work on find a grave. Nancy

Also, Jerry....would you by chance have any info about the connection between Hugh H. Austin and Hudie H. Austin? Were they related? It appears that many of the Austins were related in some way and those buried in Happy Home also had relatives in Mount Caramel and other locations in Arab. I truly wish I had the interest in all this when those who knew all this info was still living and was able to help sort it all out. But, oddly, its not till after our relatives pass away that we suddenly become interested in our roots!

Would love any info you have of Hugh H. Austin. I "think" he was the brother to my Grandfather Willie D. Austin. They were half-brothers to Beed Hampton. Although my grandfather Willie Austin passed away long before I was born, I did grow up knowing Uncle Beed. He was a well respected self taught man in just about everything he did. Even as a minister and a poet.His sons did masonry work there in Marshall county.
Do you know anything of the name "Manila Hampton?" Most of the family live too far away to piece these things together and many have forgotten how the connections come about.

|Peachie||Hugh H. Austin|
I ran across an old newspaper clipping for a Hugh H. Austin. This one was related to my family. The Hugh H. Austin in my family was married to Lizzie and the clipping says he is buried in Happy Home Cemetery.
I was curious about the connection, if there were any, between the names being the same. This Hugh H. Austin died at the age of 67 on July 21st.(no year listed on the clipping)He was also the brother to Gene Hampton, Beed Hampton and Dollie Morrow. Could this be the same Hugh H. Austin you were doing the memorial on? I have family buried at Happy Home. Will look for this headstone next time I am there.
