Walter D. Pate
I am the granddaughter of Walter D. Pate. His first marriage was to my grandmother, Maude Pauline Hobbs Pate. They divorced and he remarried Ruth.
I'm doing family research on this, my mother's side of the family.
I would appreciate any information you can give me on Isaiah and Sarah, Walter's parents, and if you have any pictures, I would like it if you would share them.
The only picture I have of him is from about 1948 or 49. He was dressed in his train engineer clothes. I know he worked for the L & N Railroad and his farm backed up to the train track - at least that's what I remember. I remember visiting his farm outside Mobile. My mother was next to the youngest of his first four children.
Anything you can share would be greatly appreciated.

Betty Chapman

Wish I could delete the last two messages....
I discovered that you had already created a memorial for Betty.
The only thing I'd request is for you to formally request images for her headstone. I will fulfill it quickly since I've already created them when I worked on your request for Fred.
Sorry about the extra messages...

RE: Fred Chapman
If you want to establish a memorial for Betty as you did for Fred then I will post the appropriate images for her as well.

Fred Chapman

This is Jackson. It has been my honor to fulfill your request for images of the headstone of Fred Chapman.
Located adjacent to this is the headstone for Betty Vedder Chapman 1921-1992. I'm assuming this to be Fred's spouse.
If you would like to set up a memorial for her, I would be happy to populate it with the appropriate images which I have already created.
There is a place in the image request protocol where you can specify that I have the images and should be the one to do the fulfillment.
Keep up the good work.

RE: Information Requested
I appreciate that, would love to read it. I did not know this man. His sister, my great grandmother, was also gone before I was born. I'm not trying to start anything, just curious about that side of the family. My dad and his brother are the only ones left that I know of, and neither of them knew the story or anything that happened. Thanks

RE: Information Requested
So sorry to bother you and bring back sad memories. My family and I were wondering about what happened in court. I vaguely remember his daughter, Eugenia (who married John E. Odom) and lived in her parents house at Center. This property neighbored my great grandfather's, Clarence Clifton, land. Upon his death Eugenia and her husband bought the Clifton homestead. Anything you can enlighten us on would be helpful, we are very interested in this case.
