Add her in that one (Vale) and delete her from the one in Buffalo. Everything looks like it all turned out after all and she's in the right cemetery now :)

Buffalo and Schnectady are 275 miles apart. Schnectady is in Schnectady Co. All the other Verklas folks are in Vale Cemetery in Schnectady. If you read this ancestry post, it will confirm the German Methodist Episcopal church does has a "section" in Vale cemetery. It's just a hunch, but I think it's a very good one ;) http://boards.ancestry.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.schenectady/1043.1/mb.ashx

Greetings,
I noticed you have entered a memorial for her in the German Methodist Cemetery in Buffalo, Erie Co., NY. The information contained therein says she is buried in Schnectady, NY. There is no such cemetery in Buffalo, NY and I'm going to request it be deleted once I can get the (2) names removed from it. If you can assist me, I'd be grateful. Thank you.

Foster Finch cemetery
Hello, Thank-you for all the work you have done on the cemeteries in Albany County. Do you live in Albany County? If so, I have a favorer to ask. I'm searching for the Finch Cemetery in west Township, Albany County. I know it is on the farm that was owned by Ira Finch in the 1860s. The Records of early burial places on the farms in the town of Knox, N.Y. Compiled by WILLIAM A. BRINKMAN, HISTORIAN, Town of Guilderland, and Altamont in 1940 transcribed the Finch Cemetery. Location- West township Albany county; Transcription as follows: Naomi Finch, d. 20 Mar 1823, Age 57, wife of Foster Finch; Foster Finch, d. 22 May 1843, Age 82 Ira Finch, b. 21 Apr 1796, d. 27 Apr 1891, Age 95; Nancy Taber, b. 27 Oct 1808, d. 9 May 1889, Age 81; Ellen E. Warrick, d. 10 Jun 1839, Age 9Category: Cemeteries Condition- unknown.
One possible location: Southeast corner of the intersection of present-day State Route 146 and Knox Cave Road. So if you could look for the Finch Cemetery for me it would be greatly appreciated. If not, that is fine, I understand. We live in Indiana and just recently found the information on Foster Finch, who is a Revolutionary War veteran. Any help, including referrals would be great. Thanks, Tom Finch maxfinch2@comcast.net

I live in the thriving metropolis of Delanson. I go to Grove Cemetery to get away from the train and for some peace and quiet.

That is a wonderful picture of Alexander. I will certainly dig a little deeper and see what I can find.

Oh, dear. I got the photo from a very nice lady who has the burial site on her property in either Fultonville or Charleston. Unfortunately, I had a computer crash and lost her info. I have Van Valkenburgs in my family tree, but not sure if Alexander is included, but considering the area, we may have some connection. If I find any information I will be sure and let you know.
