I sincerely do not mind searching for markers of your loved ones and will even travel to nearby cemeteries specifically to get you that desired photo. However, if you are requesting I visit a cemetery for you and take a picture of a marker or markers, please provide the location of the grave within the cemetery, specifically the section. Some of these cemeteries have thousands of graves as well as rest on quite a few acres.|
Also, some cemeteries are reluctant to provide a grave location to non-family members. However, as a family member, you should be able to contact the cemetery and they should provide you that information. With the number of requests I get, I cannot pose as a family member for everyone.
Also, let me know if the marker is an upright marker or a flush marker. A lot of flush markers can be hidden by overgrowth, leaves, or freshly cut grass, especially if they have been in place for several years. So, help me help you by providing the requested information. Otherwise, I will just keep your loved one's name on a list in case I stumble across their grave as I am searching for another grave.

Hi Jeffrey, You have taken MANY photos for me in the past (Claveloux/ Clark/ Cavanaugh). I have stumbled upon my Great Grand parents by accident. I was wondering if perhaps you may be able to help again. I have requested photos, & know weather conditions are bad, so any time you get the chance I would greatly appreciate it.

May I have your permission to use the photo of the tombstone of Thomas Carbery? I'm doing a book about men from St. Mary's County, MD who were in the War of 1812. I would give you credit of course.

Thank you, much appreciated!!
|Kerry Moser||RE: Kracke Family|
daughter Jackie Dorothy Kracke Bottoms passed away here. I have her obit and because it has the buriel info, I went ahead and added her, and her parents..because the obit said they were buried in same cemetery.. to findagrave..
|Kerry Moser||RE: Kracke Family|
I added them because I came across their obits while working findagrave.. I am not related them or 90% of the people I add to findagrave..... they are not family members of mine..I will add the info you found though...
here in my area, the cemetery people are more than willing to give plot info... perhaps not like that everywhere.. I also have my own copies of many of my local cemeteries plot maps...

Good evening, Jeffrey~~
I just spent last weekend restoring the Old Bricks Cemetery along with my church youth. We come down to Whitakers every year to do work at The Franklinton Center and was asked if I could do some clean-up at the cemetery. I photographed every visible gravestone and did not see one for David Mitchell. He must not have one. There is no caretaker of this cemetery which is why it was in such bad shape. What is your email so I can send you a photo of the overall cemetery?
|Patricia Mullen||Philip and Lillian Tremner|
Jeffrey, thank you so much for posting the photos of the grave stone for Philip Tremner and what remains of the grave stone of Lillian.
Isn't it a shame that someone would actually steal a grave marker because it may be made of medal that has a monetary value.
I do appreciate your posting the photos.

Thank you for trying to locate my husband's brother. We were afraid there would not be a marker as the family was just barely making ends meet at the time of his unexpected death. There were three other neighborhood children that died within a few days of Harold. All had meningitis.
We really appreciate the photo's you took of the cemetery area and the time you spent trying to locate Harold. It means a great deal to us and his other brothers and sisters.
Hope you enjoy this Holiday season and that the New Year brings you peace and good furtune.
God bless you,
Barbara and Bill Jenness 11/28/12
