|Corrections for any posting marked as our family require sources and documentation for verification before corrections are made. You will, of course, be cited as supplying the information. Corrections for postings that are not our family do not require sources but I will post the source[s] if you like. Please use the 'edit' tab on the posting in question. We will not copy, verbatum, obituaries sent to us to post. Even though the copyright has expired it's still stealing to copy someone else's work. We will, however, source the publication, date and page and post information given in the obituary. |
We work hard on our postings and do not rely only on a cemetery inscription book. We try to add more than just a name and date[s]. We try to link family members. We do not add obituaries for reasons other than stated above. Until recently, obituaries were little more than death notices and give little or no information. We also do not cut and paste death certificate info from familysearch.org or ancestry.com. It looks bad and all the info given on the death certificate is added in the appropriate fields within the posting. If we have biographical information for an individual we do add it. If we have made a mistake in familial linkings, please notify us. Several people have done so and we thank you.
At this time of year it is dark by the time we leave our places of employement so there will be few photos uploaded until spring. This is one reason for more postings than photos at this time. If the posting is an unmarked grave, it is stated as so in the note field.
If you find that we have duplicated a posting please inform us so that it can be deleted. Most of our postings were submitted in spreadsheet form so most were caught by Find-A-Grave but some do slip through. There is no need to send a barrage of messages, the duplicated posting will be removed in one to two days.
Of course family members will be linked and we would love to hear from you.

Hello Henry Cemetery Association,
Thanks for taking the photo of the military stone for David B. FUNK, Co F 120th OVI. I have been researching the 120th Ohio Volunteer Infantry for the last 13 yrs in order to identify the men and tell about their lives. I would like permission to use your photos on my site and on any CD or print copy of my research that I will give to the Wayne County library in Wooster OH. I always give credit for the photos.
Thanks for any help.
