 | RE: Ann Witherspoon Walker Ann's name was Marshall, she may have been born in Maryland, there were Marshall's in that area during 1768 and it is a short distance from Cumberland County. Ann Marshall Witherspoon married David Walker 5 Jan 1798. David Walker was living in East Pennsboro twp. Cumberland County, Pa. (a short distance from Silver Spring Presp. Church) I have no proof but think she died on the Walker farm. Ann and David had the following children: Elizabeth Walker b. 20 Nov 1798, m. John Harris William Marshall Walker b. 7 March 1800. David Stanhope Walker b. 24 Aug 1801. Margaret Walker b. 30 May 1803, M. Alexander Linn. If you are going to Silver Spring Presp.Cemetery it would be well worth your time to go to the Cumberland County Historical Society, 21 N. Pitt Street, Carlisle, Pa. 17013, it is not far and I think they will have info on Ann's family. Be sure to give them her complete name; Ann Marshall Witherspoon Walker. Enjoy your trip. | | |
