I am 56 years old and have been married for 28 years. I have five children and eight grandchildren. For the past nine years I have been employed as an academic instructor at a men's correctional facility. I am also interested in genealogy. I have been able to trace my Bilbrey and Eubanks side of the family to the early 1700's, but have run into a brick wall on the Henderson and Holle(y)man side.|
My hometown is Spur, a small town in West Texas. It was a pleasant place to grow up in. There's not much there anymore but I still consider it home.
I am researching my family lines....Henderson, Bilbrey, Eubank, and Holleyman.

On this memorial you show marriage date as Oct 20, 1880. Butm on wife's memorial you show Oct 24, 1880. Do you know which is correct. Do you know where they were married.

My grandfather was Marvin Alexander, his wife was Mennie Mae Kearney Smith Alexander. His brother Cecil lived in town. Mennie's brother Charlie Kearney lived in town also. Grandpa Marvin was my favorite person in the world. That's why I loved Spur so much.
|Sharon Hoctor||Spur, TX|
Spur was one of my favorite places to visit. My grandfather had a cotton farm outside of town. I loved going there to see him when I was a child. You are right, there wasn't a lot there, but it ranks at the very top of my wonderful memories list.
