I have been interested in family history and genealogy for over 30 years now and I am always finding something new. I have walked many cemeteries with my wonderful husband [he actually takes most of my pictures] and I will try and get organized to start adding pictures to this website. The main surnames that I research are Newman, Neighbor, Whitmore, Reed, Burnham, McGown, Mullen, Kennedy, Parsons, Barnard and Williams.
I do not live in the area where I grew up but have many digital pictures from the cemeteries in that part of the country. If someone needs a picture from any of my surnames please write and if I have the picture I will be more than happy to share it with you.

Lila Kopenhaver Waterbury
Hello Marian
Kopenhaver was Lilas maiden name. Her mother was Emma Zerbe Becker. Her mother was married twice once to an unknown Kopenhaver for a very short time and had Theodore Charles Kopenhaver and Lila. Shortly after Lila was born her mother remarried Herman Becker.
I've seen the marriage records for Emma, as well at two of three records for Lila. I also have Lilas death record. Lilas Daughter Katherine Zerbe was my great grandmother. Henry Zerbe didnt Die in 1909 as stated in and John Andra Zerby is incorrect as to his name. The Marriage record for Henry and Lila states they were married in 1909, but all of their children Margaret, Katherine, Opal, Nellie, and Louise were born before they were married. Lila and Henry were actually uncle and niece. Florence was born out of Lilas first marriage or accidental. I have seen all the birth records for these children as well Obituaries for all of them. I as well have spoke to Florences daughter on the phone. It is a very messed up confusing line of events, I have panned it out and fit all the pieces together with record information that I know at least 98% of the information is correct. if you have any other questions feel free to email me at brdusheck@gmail.com
Sincerely
Blake D

Hi Marian,
I'm not sure about the spelling of the name either, but I only went by the tombstone. If you would want a transfer I would be happy to make it for you.
Thank you,
Gary

Are you sure it's Washington Township in Linn County? I know there's a Washington in Washington County.

Hi Marian,

I have added Oliver's info, thanks! I have also linked him to his mother, Ida. Do you happen to know where his father is buried?

RE: M J McLoud Malum
Do you mind if I transfer Martha Jane Vardy Malum [Memorial #76243419] and John G McLoud [Memorial #76243285] to you? I was just taking pictures of some of the missing memorials at that cemetery when I lived there. I'm not related to either of them, and I'd much rather their memorials be managed by someone who is connected to the family.

RE: Malinda J Newman-#28702274
Marian; I have researched your questioning Malinda's burial and stone in Shiloh Cemetery and would offer the following.
I worked the Shiloh cemetery on 8-1-2008 for photo requests and added numerous names associated with the Reynolds family from that cemetery on 8-1-2008.
Malinda's stone is almost exactly the same as James T Newman found that same day near the one I posted for Malinda, and James T. was the son of John N. Newman & Zilda Reynolds Newman. The memorial numbers of Malinda and James show they were posted the same day.
The Iowa gravestone project also shows Malinda buried in Shiloh Cemetery!
I cannot address weather she was married to Hamilton D. Newland, but I'm convinced that my posting of Malinda's stone in Shiloh is corrrect. I cannot re-verify this at this time since I'm in Arizona for the winter.
If you have further questions feel free to contact me.
John

RE: Sarah F Reynolds - #28702476
Marian; I changed her birth to Linn Co. and added a note for Washington twsp. I also changed the information to show she was the daughter of James W. $ Micha A. Reynolds, and changed 13 yrs. to 15 yrs. I did not change her birth year, if you look at an enlarged photo of her grave it clearly shows 1858, and if you do a calculation backwards from her date of death it would it would be 1858 not 1859? I appreciate the information.
If you are a relative I could transfer her memorial?
