Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been working on genealogy for about 40 years and my husband, Roy, and I are also working on a project to identify and photograph burial places of Civil War veterans in Iowa. He is the State Graves Registration Officer for the Iowa Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW).

If you are a relative of someone I have posted a memorial for--that is NOT a relative of mine--I would be glad to transfer management to you.

I don't remember but I'll check into it. Did I send you Jenny, Charles, Charlotte and the Family Marker? I have them too.

Misspelled Surname
Apparently the surname in the title is misspelled. Is it Sissom or Sisson?

James & Ann {ERWIN} WIDNEY
Thank you Linda for reposting photo for my James WIDNEY, the immigrant to his son. Also thanks for adding link for unmarried daughter, Mary Ann WIDNEY. As for the final resting place for Jame's wife, Ann ERWIN, we believe that she may be buried in the same cemetery, but have not located a record for her grave. Thanks, Dan Carrier, Dallas

James WIDNEY photo in error
Linda: I have a correction for a photo you've added to my James WIDNEY, #7015985. This is actually the grave stone for his son, James #108901972. Could you please correct error and add to the memorial of his son. Thank you, Dan Carrier

Linda,

I just wanted to thank you for submitting info, and sending me an SAC. I'm of no relation to the people I have added in Iowa - that I'm aware of - but I think documenting is good, whether you're doing it just for future records, genealogy, or as a tribute. I especially like getting the older ones, as you never know how long they'll be standing.

Thanks again for your work!
