Thank you, but the Memorial was taken over by findagrave and I can not make changes to it. I wish I could. Best Wishes, Lettie

RE: ava
Glad you made it. If you took "general" pictures, Beatrice (with dif married name) was to Ava's right--standing in front and over her. Brother on left, Ava in middle, and Bea on right. Inez was around there. As I said, I need to post Ava's older sister's marker. Museum was interesting, but not as "filled" as I thought it would be. The women there are often volunteers, and we know more than they. A beautiful cemetery, by the way.

You should have no problem. Enter the main gates. You'll see a sidewalk with an arrow pointing to the right direction. At end of sidewalk--another sign pointing at graves. You can't miss it.

No, I never asked them about Myra. All I know of her is what I read in the book from the museum.

Yes, Beatrice is buried there. I'm going to post her grave picture as soon as I write her bio.

You'll find the Museum easily. On Main Street. Very courteous staff. Ava and the Cemetary is at the end of Main St and there are Markers to Ava, and Family, gravesite. The booklet I bought, at the Museum, had the attached picture of Myra. She appeared,in the early 50s on "I've Got A Secret". She lost her husband,Bronnie Pearce, arround the time of Ava's death. They had 3 children, and Myra was the last sister to die. Good luck in finding her grave. Probably buried under married name.

Ava Gardner
July 1st
I had the chance to re visit Smithfield, NC and the Gardner family plot, plus her museum. I bought a small paperback book about Ava, her family anf growing up in NC. I posted, today, several photos of her siblings, which were in the book. What did you wish to know about the family?

RE: ava Gardner
I don't know anything about Myra, sorry. I didn't even know that Ava Gardner was from Smithfield until I visited Sunset Memorial Cemetery in 2007 to fulfill some grave photo requests. Wish I could help.
