McLallens Corners Cemetery
Hi Pete,
Would the Washington Valley Cemetery be the same cemetery as McLallens Corners Cemetery? I'm finding death certificates stating McLallens.

RE: Washington Valley Cemetary headstone deterioration
Hi, Pete,
Thanks for the suggestions about protecting the stones! I've been there about once a year for the last 10 years, each time hoping to figure out which stones were Henry and Margaret Buys' stones.
And each year the stones are in worse condition! The price we pay for our industrial "progress": acid rain!
I'll be at Washington Valley Cem. on Fri. morning, again. But I may not have time to contack the association before then. Something to do when I get home again and then plan to go again next year!
Again, Thanks so much for your help.

RE: Washington Valley Cemetery
Thanks so much for the help. I'll follow up on the Washington Valley Cemetery Association URL.
Yes, I know about the three Buys women, they are related. Henry and Margaret are my gr. gr. grandparents and I'd really like to locate their graves for certain. They are listed on grave listings from about 30 years ago, including what it said on the stones then. Acid rain is doing them all in, I'm afraid.
Thanks for the help.

Washington Valley Cemetery
Hi, Pete,
I am needing to locate two graves in the Washington Valley Cemetery in Erie Co.
They are listed as being there is various older gravestone readings:
Henry Buys and his wife, Margaret Buys.
However, I have not been able to locate their stones on visits to the cemetery. My guess is that over the years the inscriptions have become difficult to read.
Do you know if there is any sort of map or row by row listings of the graves there that would help me locate their graves? Are there cemetery books for that cemtery?
I'll be in Erie this coming Friday, June 26 and will try to get out to the cemetery.
Thanks for your help,
Elsie Wilson
