I was raised on Troy Hill, on the North Side of Pittsburgh, PA., but have lived in Florida for over 25 years. When I return "home," I try to visit the local cemeteries to photograph gravestones for those unable to visit the graves of their relatives. |
I am not related to most of my findagrave entries, so if you are a relative or believe you are related, please do not hesitate to request that I transfer the memorial to you. I am happy to do so, as findagrave allows us to find and honor those who have passed before us and keep their memories alive.
You have my permission to use any gravestone photos that I have taken for your personal genealogical use.

Thank you for you reply and research. So Did Mary Garwood Getz re-marry? Should her name be Mary Wells Garwood Getz? I know that you are not related, but It would be interesting to piece this together.
I do not have access to ancestry so to some extent that limits my research. Currently, I am linking family members together on Find a grave. While I may not be directly related to this line of Garwoods, I do have relationship through one my Great Grandfathers. He was married to a Garwood.
I guess for the time being I will leave that memorial alone. I am hopeful that some descendent will take the time to sort that out.
Best Regards and Thank you for your efforts to photograph these Gravesites

Thanks for all your work on the hill . I went to North Catholic 1960 and my great grandparents are buried in the Garner field , now a ball field . I walked past all the cemeteries and never knew who was there ! If Mc Colloughs in United are yours , would you like a transfer ?

A contributor has passed information to me regarding your memorials for John Hilliard #112434042 and his wife Sarah 112434012. I had entered this couple, John 50100671 and Sarah 50056940 in the Franklin Cemetery and noted there was no marker there for them. Since you have found them to be in the Hope Cemetery, I have now relocated my memorials. May I ask that you add your marker photos to my memorials and delete your memorials for them. Sarah and my great grandfather Simon were brother and sister. Your consideration is appreciated; and thank you for your contribution to this site through your many photos.

I see Albert Schmittlein is on Find A Grave. Is it possible to post his wife on Find A Grave as well? They both were dear long time friends of mine.
Thank you. Sincerely, Jane Putman

I just like updating memorials. I've been working on Brooklyn Heights Cemetery, and have found some families that I know. Its like working on a big jigsaw puzzle.
